(Harry's POV)
I struggled to pay to the road, knowing that Kayla was immensly hurting.
I glanced toward her to see her curled up, staring at her phone. Her eyes were lost in a gaze of sorrow and dissapointment.
"Where are we going?" She said, breaking silence.
"My good friend Joey, he lives in Des Moines, Iowa and he said we could stay there for a couple days." I responded gently and cautiosly.
"Okay, thanks" She said, looking out the window.
My heart melted in the thought of her pain.
The truck sped down the long, twisted highways for what seemed like forever before the sun set and we had to find a place to sleep. We sped down the highway until I noticed a sign that simply said 'Holiday Inn'
I pulled to the side of the highway and into the exit, toward the hotel.
I looked over to see Jennaleaning against the window, sleeping softly.
"What a sick man, how could he do this to such a wonderful girl?" I mumbled to myself as I pulled into the large, parking lot. Gently, I shook Jenna's shoulder.
"Wake up, were going to stay at this hotel for the night." I said with a soft smile.
She replied with a low groan as she rubbed her face and stepped out of the car.
I carried my suitcase and her backpack to the front desk as she went to a couch and sat down.
"Hi, may I help you?" A short, bald man said with a smile on his broad face.
"Yeah, can I have a room for two, with two seperate beds please?" I requested politely.
He carried the conversation for what seemed like hours before he handed me a small room key.
"C'mon Jenna, we got a room!" I said as I pulled her hand toward the elevators.
"I'm tired Harry." She said in a low voice as she stepped into the elavator.
I giggled softly as the elevator quickly brought us to the fifth floor of the large building. We walked down the long, narrow hallways toward the large glass window before reaching our room.
"Room 542! This is us." I said as I twisted the key in the door knob.
"Oh, my, god." Jenna said, shocked as she walked into the room and gazed around.
The suite had two beds along with a flat screen television and a full kitchen. Jenna quickly placed her shoes in the corner of the room and hopped into the bed on the far end of the suite.
I placed our bags gently on the floor as I jumped into the seperate bed.
"Goodnight Jenna" I said willingly.
"Goodnight Harry" She said, as we both drifted off to sleep.
