Hoseok woke up to his phone buzzing against his coffee table.

He decided to ignore it and try to go back to sleep. But, it just kept buzzing and buzzing. So, he reached over and grabbed his phone. Answering it with, "Hello?"

"Hoseok, hey, it's Namjoon. Are you at the house right now? We need to talk." Namjoon was the apartment manager. He was probably going to talk to him about the three month rent that he still owed.

He glanced over at his door, knowing that Namjoon was probably outside of it. "Um, yeah. I'm here." Hoseok replied. "Okay, can you open the door?" Namjoon asked. "Yes, um, see ya in a couple seconds." He murmured. Then, hung up.

Hoseok stood up and stretched then walked over to the door, opening it. He needed to remember to start locking it before he went to bed. There were a lot of nearby neighbors that he was skeptical of.

Namjoon stood there with his arms crossed and his jaw clenched. That's when Hoseok knew whatever they were about to talk about was serious. "Good morning, Hoseok." Namjoon greeted. Hoseok gave him a nod in return. Namjoon cracked his knuckles and leaned against the door-frame.

"Where's the rent money that you still owe me? If you don't give it to me soon, I'm afraid that I'll have to kick you out." Hoseok let out a sigh and ran a hand through his hair, "I know, I know...I've been trying to come up with money for it. I'm not sure if you know but I was fired two months ago."

"I'm sorry about that but that's not an excuse. If you don't give me at least half of your rent money by next week, I have no choice but to exclude you from the premises." Hoseok frowned but gave Namjoon a nod. "I promise, I'll have the money by next week."

Namjoon nodded and then gave him a light smile, "Alright, thank you, Hoseok. Have a nice day."

"You too." He replied softly. Then, shut the door and leaned against it, running a hand through his hair. He was in deep shit now.

That's when he remembered that boy. Hoseok assumed that he was homeless since he had that backpack and that one time when he slept outside. Maybe he would be willing to give him some money to pay for the rent. After all, he did lie to that man for him.

But, what if he didn't have any money for himself?

Whatever, he had decided. He might as well ask, even if it is kind of rude.

Hoseok quickly put on some sandals, not bothering to change out of his sweatpants and ran out the door. He darted down the steps and jogged all the way to the alleyway, hoping to spot the boy. Thankfully, he did. He spotted him leaning against the same tree again. He was awake and reading some book.

Hoseok ran over to him and stopped, panting when he arrived. The boy looked up at him with furrowed eyebrows and set the book, The Perks of Being a Wallflower in his lap and stared at him. Hoseok noticed that the bruise barely showed.

"Look, I know I pissed you off a couple weeks ago and I'm sorry about that but I need your help. After all, I lied to that old guy for you." Hoseok started.

The boy stayed silent and waited for him to continue.

"I'm about to get kicked out of my apartment and I need some money to pay for my rent. I was sort of hoping that you could maybe help me out with it." The boy didn't say anything, like usual and Hoseok let out a desperate sigh, "Please." He added.

Then, the boy did something that shocked him.

He spoke.

"Meet me back here on the 1st of June, precisely at seven-thirty. I will give you my answer then. If you are not here, then you can forget it. Got it?" The boy snapped. Hoseok nodded furiously and the boy stood up, then ran off.

Sure, the boy had snapped at him. But, he couldn't help but feel honored that the boy had finally spoken to him. He smiled to himself and began walking back to his apartment.

Hoseok reminded himself not to get drunk on the 27th.
