Brinklin Asylum

Chapter One: The Job

          

I work in an asylum, and not one that you've heard of. The horrors that go on in this asylum are ones I wouldn't have ever expected, even so I took the job hoping for the best. When I say horrors I don't mean paranormal spirits and such. I mean murders and experiments done by the staff working at the asylum. To be specific the main Doctor, Dr. Nathanial Dinos, he's the one who not only commits these murders and experiments but he also has his nursing staff do the dirty work when he's out of state. Sometimes the murders are good for the community, keeps everyone safe, but other times he just does them out of boredom. The experiments are done on patients who seem to have abilities that "normal" humans don't. The experiments are usually done to understand the human brain and how these patients came across their supernatural ability. However weird and gruesome the days were I stuck around. What I didn't expect was to not only fall in love with a patient but to become one myself. This is my story.

So today is my three-year anniversary of working at Brinklin, and as I head out to my car some guy runs into me.

"Sorry miss!" He says grabbing my arm as I'm about to fall over. My eyes look into his and I feel my face get hot.

"Er, it's okay. Mr...."

"Ah, names Shadow. And you are?" He replies.

"Tatiana." I reply shaking his hand. His smile white and perfect, and his long hair looked soft to the touch. His beautiful brown eyes looking down into mine. I seem to just get lost in them.

"Tatiana. Such a beautiful name. Here's my number, call me sometime." He says handing me a card, before looking behind him and grinning. "Gotta run. See ya around." Then, he was gone. I shook my head and got in my car heading to work. The roads are clear for a change and I find that quite strange, until my cell phone rings.

"Hey, Tay um I have a favor to ask of you?" I groaned in annoyance at the sound of Xenia's nervous voice but answered anyways.

"Whats up Xenia?"

"Well, there's a problem down town it has to do with a couple who are attacking the down town mall."

"What the hell do you mean 'attacking the downtown mall!?'"

"Well the guy is just smashing everything like the Hulk, and the lady is running after him pushing people away with great force. She's trying to stop him but he won't listen."

"Okay well I will be at work in 5 minutes. Be ready."

I walked into work and smiled politely at the patients walking around. As I turned around the corner I saw Dr. Dinos. He is one of the evilest men on this planet. The only reasons I stick around is for the pay and Xenia needs a friend here. Plus, I make these patients smile and feel better about their lives.

Dr. Dinos stopped in front of me and I let out a mental groan of annoyance. "Good morning Tatiana." He offers his hand and I just ignore it.

"Morning Doctor." I force a smile and continue on my way. 'Ugh smiling at a murderer is very difficult.' Suddenly I am pulled into a supply closet. "Okay Xenia you really got to stop doing that!" I turn to her cross.

She giggles at me and hugs me. "Why? It's so much fun." I shake my head at her and walk through the supply closet. Our supply closet isn't a normal supply closet, it's like one of those walk in closets you see in a mansion. I walk through the closet grabbing my outfit and smiling to myself. The one part of my job I do enjoy is the outfits. Sexy, stylish and easy to maneuver in. My outfit is blue latex, body fitting, shirt and skirt with blue spandex underneath of course, and go-go boots. I loved the way the blue latex matched my blue eyes and my aqua hair that flowed to the middle of my back. After getting dressed I turn to Xenia.
