Andrew
"How could you?!?" Andrew screamed at me. I flinched, his alpha voice was reeking with protection.
"Andrew, we were just friends; who had one benefit."I sighed deeply. I had to tell a lie, so he wouldn't know. "Andrew I loved you, as a friend only. Nevertheless, I have a mate. I'd be lying if I told you I love you."
But I wasn't. With each word our hearts broke. But I had to do it; he deserved a girl who was care-free, not me.
"Andrew I have to go. My mate is waiting for me." I turned but Andrew grabbed my arm.
"Look me in the eye and tell me those aren't my kids. That you only love me as a friend." He was still angry. I couldn't lie like that to him. Not to his eyes, I will probably melt. I might let the truth slip. I walked away.
"Tumny."Bella called. She was with Cleo, Alex, and Lilian.
"You haven't called me that in a long time."I said smiling.
"Duh. You haven't answered in a long time." She looked towards my stomach and knelt down to it. "Hi, nieces and nephews."She touched my stomach. Suddenly, she froze. And she didn't move.
"What the heck?"I asked. "Bella."She didn't respond. "Who's out there?!?"I asked-screamed. I heard foot steps. "Intruder!"I yelled. My words seemed to be the catalyst to the guards. They ran past me, chasing down that soft and graceful foot step. The foot steps were way too light, it had to be a child. But what child would do this... had the power to? Lilian and Cleo picked up Bella.
"Off to Paty."Alex said lightly. We all agreed. We were silent the whole way over. I pondered about the child.
"Patricia."I said
"Thought I felt you girls coming."She responded with a laugh. "You girls are nothing but trouble... Where's the afflicted?"She asked. We shrugged. She looked at us like we were stupid. I raised my eyebrow.
"What?" We asked. She rolled her eyes. Then she started shoving us out the door.
"Well, off you go."We laughed leaving. My arm was grabbed. I felt heavy sparks.
"Well I guess this is goodbye." I didn't even look to know its Andrew. I knew I wasn't done feeling his wrath...
"Andrew..."I started. "Look I like you, but only as a friend. I don't love you. I don't hate you. I just wanna keep you as a friend, so my kids know that besides my mate some other guy likes me." His expression softened.
"But other guys do like you. Your dad and Aiden."I smiled.
"Really?"I smiled thinking of a future of being loved.
"Really."I hugged Andrew. We stayed like that for a few minutes. Before we were interrupted. By Alex.
"We need you. Hey, Andrew."She smiled at him. He smiled back
"Hey Alex. Take care of my little babe while I'm gone." He said, looking at me. I looked up at him and frowned. But inside I was leaping with joy. He smirked. How does he read me so well?
"Andrew."I said as a warning. He just laughed.
"I was kidding."At that I rolled my eyes.
"Idiot."I said, smiling and laughing.
"Only for you."I pulled away.
"I gotta go."I said as I walked away with Alex.
"We need you to find her mate. Patricia said, she was put under a spell that only her mate can break."I nodded.
