RILEY
"Riley!" A pillow slammed right on my face, "We're late!" Ryan yelled from my door.
I rolled over the other end of my bed and checked the time. 7:03. Shit. I jumped out of bed and took a quick shower.
"Ryan, make me a sandwich while I change!" I yelled as I got out of the shower.
I pulled out my black leggings and my Nike crop top. I looked around my room for my slip ons and found them under my bed. I slipped my feet right in my shoes and grabbed my bag before running down the stairs.
"Did you even comb your hair?" Ryan looked at me disgustedly as he handed me my sandwich.
"My hair's fine," I said nonchalantly.
Honestly, I could care less about my hair. The bus was about to leave in a few minutes and Ryan and I were still at home.
"Ry, we have to leave now." I said, towing him out of the house.
"Could you at least comb your hair before we enter the bus?" He offered me his brush as we walked towards the bus stop.
I raised an eyebrow at him, "You carry a hairbrush with you?"
"Hey at least one of us does," he rolled his eyes mockingly and that earned him a punch in the arm. He winced and rubbed his arm, "You're too violent for the world." He muttered.
I took his brush and started brushing my hair as we walked. The bus stop came to view and surprisingly the bus was still there. Ryan and I exchanged looks before jogging towards it.
We entered the bus and were instantly greeted by the soccer team. "Finally! What took you guys so long?" Matt hung his arms around mine and Ryan's shoulder.
Ryan nodded at me, "Someone overslept."
"Try having tons of homework due on the same day," I muttered as I took a bit off my sandwich.
"You know how much money I gave Freddy to wait for you two?" Matt referred to the bus driver, "Fifteen bucks. You guys owe me."
"Yeah okay," Ryan playfully shoved his head away and chuckled. They started having this game where they shove each other until they reached their seats.
Boys are so weird.
I took another bite off my sandwich when my teammate called. "Hey Cap!" Gigi called me over with the other girls.
"I told you to stop calling me that," I said as I took a seat next to her. Gigi was the goal keeper for the girls' soccer team.
"I was only kidding Riley," she bumped her shoulder into mine.
"But you are captain, Ri," Tina, another teammate of mine added. "Well, both you and Ryan are."
"And his friends call him Cap so why can't we call you the same?" Maia, our striker asked.
So basically, the only girls I hung out with were my teammates.
"Because there's no point to calling me that," I said in a duh tone. "I have a name and I'd rather be called by just that."
They all huffed to their disappointment but refused to push more. Smart girls. I hated being push about something. The last time someone tried to force me into anything had his nose broken.
So no one really dared to push my buttons since then.
"Did you do all your homeworks for today?" Gigi asked me.
"Of course, did you?"
"I totally forgot about my English paper," she rubbed her temples. "How could I forget?!" She exclaimed.
