1. Mission Hot or Not, Baby Girl
"Tams, I need your help." I looked towards my older sister who was currently lying down on the couch reading some book on law.
"What is it now?" She sighed, sitting up. "I need to prove to Dayna that being hot means your instantly popular."
She frowned at me, "What's there to prove? I thought it was a fact."
"I know right! But you know Dayna and her stubbornness." I got off the kitchen island and walked over to Tams. In case you were wondering, Tams' name is not actually Tams. It's short for Tamara. She hates it when I call her that but she loves me too much to complain about it.
"How about you change your appearance for your senior year?" She suggested.
"Isn't that kind of an obvious thing to do? And honestly, I don't want to look like a bimbo all year round." I complained.
"There's nothing else that I can come up with!" She huffed.
"C'mon Tams! Use that genius brain of yours!" I exclaimed.
If you look at Tams, you wouldn't think of her as a nerd. You'd think she was a model considering her long dark brown hair and tanned skin (that both of us got naturally cause our mom is African American and dad is Caucasian) with her perfectly structured face. Literally. Modeling agencies have offered her jobs but she declined all of them. Believe it or not, she's the living example of 'beauty with brains'. In high school, she wouldn't apply herself to the fullest. She would be like those typical popular girls, but because of her ex and his egotistical and sexist remarks, my sister decided to become a good student. She ended up being class president and also got a scholarship in law school. You can say, I'm really proud of her.
"How about you dress hot for one day and the next, you be yourself." She muttered. Huh... That could work. "But won't people find it a little suspicious?"
"Yeah, that's there."
"How about I act as twins?"
She sat up straight, "Go on, I'm listening."
Then it all clicked in my mind.
"Twins. One's hot, the other's not."
"And nobody would even question you having a twin if she went to some other school! And also cause you're the nerd and nobody in school knows about you." Tams chimed in.
"And that twin would be hot and the other would be me. So, I don't have to act bimbo-ish the whole year round. And nobody would suspect it!" I exclaimed with excitement.
"But you have to inform your teachers and principal. But I guess, you can leave that to me." Tams smirked.
The principal adored her, so convincing her for me to do this thing would be easy.
"Mission hot or not." I muttered.
I grinned at her. I actually have a shot at doing this.
*****
I woke up to my phone ringing.
"New phone. Who dis?"
"Weirdo get up. I'm coming in ten."
"No loser. Let me sleep."
"My sister told me about your evil plan." He chuckled through the phone.
