Wes
I was blown away by her. When I made the order I decided to play a little and create a fantasy - because, why not? - but I didn't expect her to be so realistic. Her dark hair flowed like rivers made of silk on her shoulders, contrasting with her ivory skin that shined healthily. Her body was picture perfect and her long and lean legs were looking gorgeous in the dark, midnight blue silky dress that she was wearing and her hazel eyes look more golden than brown.
I took her hand into mine and along with the other batchelors, I waited for the music to begin. After we came face to face with our Escort we were supposed to dance and chat with them.
Upon hearing the music I started dancing slowly with her.
"What is your name? " Her eyes twinkled.
" Shayra. What about you? "
" Wes, but my guess is that you already knew " she smiled.
She just smiled so I smiled. Well, look at that. Everyone was smiling today. Her scent reminded me of my mother's night flower and a sunny day at the beach. Time flew while we chatted and before I even realized it, the music has stopped and we were ordered silently to stand in a line and take interviews. I sadly knew what I had to face.
~°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°~"Wes! Care to tell us about your Escort? "
I sighed and answered the same question I've been asked for half an hour now.
" Well, since the Escorts' Ball is something you can attend very few times in your life, I decided that I wanted my first Escort to be different than the rest. " If only they knew. The reporter kept going for a few minutes and then an other one took his place. And another, and another. Good Lord, my life is boring. And while I considered digging a hole to die in while the cameras flashed, Shayra stood beside me, smiling a spotlight worthy smile that bedazzled everyone.

Three hours later the couple had arrived to their home. It was luxurious and ginormous. All about that elite lifestyle everyone seems to drool over. Wes felt bitter and alone and felt a weight in his shoulders 'I wish they knew. I wish they knew what fools they were to believe everything they were served. Not once did they question them. Of course if someone told them the truth, they probably wouldn't believe them, that's how brainwashed they are. Freaking morons.' he thought. The fact that you can't trust anyone in this world is a truth he learned at a very young age. He sighed trying to suppress the ugly memories. Shayra looked at him with a stare that captivated him. Her eyes seemed to be able to see right into his soul and for some strange reason he felt.... almost in peace. He quickly snapped out of it.
"So Shayra, let me guide you to your room. It is right next to mine in case you need anything. You will find everything you need there and if for some reason you are uncomfortable about anything I want you to come to me no matter what. " he smiled warmly at her.
" Of course, Wes. But what about when you work? Should I disturb you even then? " she asked politely and she was full of friendliness but Wes felt like she didn't trust him. Smart girl. It wasn't that he was a bad person, just that she needed to know that one must earn her trust, not be given it.
They reached her room and he opened the door for her. She smiled a bedazzling smile and stepped inside. Facing him she smiled and said
" Thank you for your hospitality Wes, I really appreciate it. "
" No problem. Dinner will be served at five", with that he turned around and went to his room that was right across from hers. Closing his door he immediately untied his tie and got rid of his clothes. Stepping into his jacuzzi bathtub he finally relaxed for a while.
While Wes was busy having a bath, Shayra explored her room. The walls where a nice sky-blue color and creme colored in some areas, creating warmness to it. It had a huge balcony that had view of the forest that seemed to spread for hundreds of miles. At her left there was a door that led to a bathroom and at her right there was a walk-in closet. It wasn't filled with clothes, but it had a few pieces for every occasion. Formal, casual, evening gowns, pajamas, nightgowns, skirts, shorts, and whatnot. The lingerie it had were basic. Nothing too fancy, a few thongs were the flashiest and they were either black, white, or beige.
She sighed. Wes was incredibly handsome, the most handsome of all the men at The Ball and she felt a connection between them from the moment she laid eyes on him. We'll see, she thought. One thing was sure, though. She did not want to mess with him in any way whatsoever, and that meant that she couldn't have him.° ° °
Shayra quickly snapped out of her daze. It was five minutes to five and she still hadn't changed. This wouldn't be a problem normally, but this house was very big and easy to get lost into. She changed out of her clothes into some casual ones in a matter of seconds. She then practically sprinted to the dinning room.
When she entered she faced silence. The moment she sat on the seat however the doors burst open and Wes came in. They exchanged greetings and a few moments later the staff came and served them with their meal. The dinner was uneventful but that was fine by her. When she was finished and Wes was too they both excused themselves and went their separate ways for the night.
As she stood up she realized that Wes waited for her. Of course he waited for her! She forgot that their rooms were opposite to one another! He looked at him and realized that he had pinned his eyes on her, his gaze...expectant? Not waiting another minute she started walking towrds him at a regular pace. Once next to him, he asked "Shall we?" to which she nodded with a polite smile on her lips. The walk to her room was silent and when in front of her door she turned around and said goodnight to Wes and he said too, with a warm smile.
Upon entering her room she immediately undressed. The relief she felt when she was finally free of her clothes was immense.Had it been in her hands she would have walked around naked all the time , but having Wes around would make that sort of behavior highly inappropriate!
With a sigh , she got under the covers, making sure they covered her nakedness. A few minutes later sleep engulfed her, like a white sheet and she finally relaxed.
