After a few minutes of waiting outside in the hall, Liam finally came out in a loose fitting sweat shirt with a pair of faded jeans and worn sneakers. Bailey noticed that Liam's floor was spotless when he came out and grinned to himself before the two made their way to the dining hall for breakfast.
Along the way, Bailey heard his name being called. Stopping and turning his head, he saw Herald, the young 15 year old who needed help in history. The younger student wearing a checkered button down red and black shirt, a pair of faded blue jeans with white converses.
"Phew, I finally caught up. Mind if I join you guys for breakfast?" Herald asked, his brown eyes gleaming with hope behind his square glasses.
"Sure thing Herald, hope you don't mind Liam and Elaine's bickering" Bailey joked as Liam gave a goofy grin to Herald.
"Excuse me, in my defense she usually starts it first" Liam added quickly to defend himself.
Herald smiled and the three of them continued their way to the dining room. As they walked in, Bailey saw Elaine there with Eloise, already eating. Liam made a B-line to the food being served as Herald and Bailey followed. While getting their breakfast, Herald brought up last night's incident.
"So what actually happened last night?" Herald asked, stacking some chocolate chip pancakes on his tray, along with a jar of honey and cream.
"Gene broke into my room and tried stealing my possessions. Does he usually try to steal from other students?" Bailey turned his head to face Liam who was grabbing turkey sandwiches.
"Hell yeah he does. I heard he even broke into this one girls room at night and-" Liam began but Herald stopped him midsentence.
"Oh that girl had to be transferred out of the school because of the trauma." Herald added and Bailey felt a shiver run down his spine, imagining what Gene did that was so terrible that a girl had to be transferred.
"Okay I don't want to know what happened. Especially now that I think Gene has it out for me" Bailey added in quickly as he got his food and quickly made his way back to their table, sitting down across from Elaine and Eloise. Elaine looked over at Bailey and noticed that Bailey was pale as a ghost.
"My lord Bailey, what is wrong? You looked as if you have seen a dead man" Elaine said with her French accent coming through with concern. Bailey shook his head and put on a believable smile.
"I'm alright Elaine, just shaken up from last night I guess" Bailey tried reassuring Elaine, who nodded but still looked skeptical about Bailey's behavior. Soon Herald and Liam joined the table, Herald parking himself right beside Bailey and looked at his honey and cream coated pancakes like a kid on Christmas morning and Liam having a turkey sandwich and a glass of ice water.
"Gee that looks really sweet Herald. You must one major sweet tooth" Liam said, admiring how much honey was drenched onto the pancakes.
"Yup, Sweets are what I live for!" Herald said taking a piece out of the pancakes. Eloise smiled at the enthusiasm of the younger student and turned her attention to Liam.
"I heard about what happened in the boy's dorm last night. Gene really doesn't learn does he?" Eloise said, her voice having an eastern accent to it. Liam nodded as he bit into his sandwich. Herald stopped eating briefly as he looked at a table that was near the windows, seeing Gene there staring at them with a few senior boys.
"Guys Gene is staring at us like a predator" Herald said looking over at the other, his bright green eyes having the look of a child who was about to be scolded.
"Just ignore him Herald, he seriously need some sense knocked into him though Liam had already tried that" Elaine said calmly as Liam grinned, remembering how he beat the crap out of Gene. Bailey lips curved into a small smile at the comment and Liam wrapped an arm around Bailey's shoulders.
"Do not worry about him Bailey, I will be there to kick his ass if he tries anything" Liam reassured as he flashed a grin causing Bailey to smile.
"Gee thanks my knight in faded jeans" Bailey joked and bit jokingly punched Liam on the arm. Eloise made a soft noise that sounded like a squeak as she giggled to herself.
"You guys are just adorable with each other!" she exclaimed and Elaine looked over at her, her expression shocked along with Herald, Bailey and Liam who were stunned. Eloise looked around the table had a puzzled expression, her brown eyes oblivious.
"What? Did I say something wrong?" She questioned and Elaine leaned forward and whispered something in her ear and Eloise's face turned into a look of surprise.
"Holy crap they aren't dating!?" Eloise bursts out much too loudly which caused a few tables to look at theirs, Liam quickly drawing his arm back and Bailey hiding his face in his hands.
"Eloise! What in the world got you to think Liam and Bailey were in a relationship?" Elaine questioned, her cheeks flushed. Eloise shrugged but let out a smile.
"With what you've told me about them and how they act, I just assumed." She claimed and Elaine whipped her head to look in her direction, her fair brown hair swaying over her shoulders.
"Well stop assuming this instant! It is highly inappropriate to assume things about other people's love life!" Elaine justified. Eloise smiled and nodded
"Alright, alright I'm sorry. I, Eloise Tremaine, solemnly swear I will not assume anything... or at least try not to" she finished with a scowl still present on Elaine's face.
