Part 2

"So kid, where are you and your dog headed" Doc asked

"Well, to be honest I umm, don't know. Anywhere, what about you guys, where are you all headed?" I said looking at everyone

"We-" Doc was cut off when a zombie threw itself on Doc, Doc was trying to fight the zombie off, nobody could shoot it, it was too risky! I quickly run up, grab the zombie before flinging it off Doc, giving it mercy then piecing its brain with my knife.

"Thanks kid" Doc said as 10K helped him up.

"Don't mention it, anyway I have to head, find some kind of shelter, nice meeting you guys" I said smiling while fixing my bag strap on my shoulder, before i could walk away, Warren came up to me and said
"You should tag along with us"
"Great, another person, why don't just pick up everyone we pass" Murphy grunted, I roll my eyes at him and accept the offer.

I sit in the back of the truck with 10k, Doc and Cassandra

"You're not from America, so why you here?" Cassandra asked, I was taking back a bit

"I actually moved from Scotland to here just a year before things went down" I said looking down at my hands.

--flashback--

"Do we have to leave, I'm 16 years old, I could look after my self" I said looking at my dad

"Niomi, how many times do I have to tell you, you aren't staying here yourself, I am sorry I got a job promotion, that requires us to move" my dad said sternly.

--end of flash back--

"Where's you family?" Cassandra asked, again. Damn she asks a lot of questions, I hate this question

"They turned, I gave them mercy, my dad and my twin sister, my mum left when I was little" i said trying to hold the tears back, it was a hard subject to talk about, specially when they were all what I had, but I guess you gotta keep strong if you want to live in a zombie apocalypse.

"Oh I'm sorry to here that" Cassandra said to me, with sympathy in her eyes

"I went through the same thing, I had to kill my dad" I looked up at 10k and he was fiddling with his fingers,
"When my pa was wounded, he told me to tie him up before he turned. Made me promise to show him mercy when he died. Kill the brain, you know? I couldn't do it. I couldn't hurt my pa, no matter what he'd become. I stared into his eyes for the longest time, just looking for some kind of sign he was still in there" he said looking into space
"Did you see anything?" Cassandra asked
10k looked at Cassandra and just shook his head,
"What did you do?" Doc said quietly
"I killed it" 10k spoke up, my heart shattered!
"Damn, kid. You had to put down your own dad" Doc said sympathetically
"Didn't kill him. Killed it." He spoke up, I just stared at my hands, I just want to give him a massive hug
"But if it's not alive, how'd you kill it?" Cassandra asked
"Piked it, right here. My first kill. I always wish he knew, you know, somehow knew that I kept my promise." He said looking down.

I couldn't help myself, I pulled 10k into for a hug, he was taken back at first, but then hugged back, I think he needed it. I know what he went through.
