When hell rises! 10k fanfiction Z Nation

Part 5

"NIOMI" my mum shouted, I ran and engulfed her into a hug, from that point in this horrible world I felt safe, like there was nothing else in this world sept us. I pulled away and looked from my mum to the group,

"This is my mum, mum this is my group" I said introducing them to each other.

"Well I guess we have another body to help us" Warren smiled
"Another one" Murphy huffed, before we all made our way to the car. I sat in the back, we drove and drove for a few hours, and my mum and I was just talking, we stopped and Warren hopped out the car

"There is another jeep, if you wanna hop into it" Addy said through the sliding window.

My mum, 10k, Cassandra, Zac and I all ran to the car, I sprinted and jumped in the drivers seat, first time proper driving.

"You know how to drive" 10k leaned over the back seat
"Not that well, but my dad taught me an little" I smiled

We were driving along the road, when I just wanted to ask my mum all these questions

"You moved back to America" I said taking a quick glance at my mum, then back to the empty motorway,

"Yeah, after your father and I broke up, I felt like it was the right thing to do, to move back"

"So you never thought of us?" I was upset and angry

"I thought about you all everyday, but I had to" my mum said

Warren signalled us to stop at a near by place, and we all hopped out to see what she was wanting.

"Citizen Z is just contacted us, there is a tornado coming this way, we need to seek shelter" she said before showing us this little underground bunker

It was so tiny.. So claustrophobic

The storm was getting closer, and I was getting more and more scared of the small spaces, it felt like the walls were closing in on me, I started to panic. 10k rushed to my side, but I pushed him away, putting my head between my knees and taking deep breaths

"Niomi, are you okay" my mum asked, siting on the little camp chair. I just stayed in the position I was until I felt a hand rubbing my back, I look up to be met with a beautiful pair of eyes, 10k, he shot me a small smile before whispering soothing things in my ears. Once I was better I just thanked 10k and he wandered back off next to Cassandra, my heart sank, soon after sleep took over my body.

It was the next morning and my mum came up to me

"Niomi, are you okay" my mum asked

"Mum you know what, yes I am completely fine, apart from the fact that i was trapped with the person who left when I was little, a person that I fell head over heel for and they don't even notice it! You left us, I had to kill my own sister and father, you should've been there to protect us" I said through gritted teeth, before hoping in the nearest jeep and speeding off, not looking back.
