Melissa's Ice Cream Parlour
Monday 8:45 P.M.
Table #5(???) POV
"Huh... I haven't seen you in awhile..." Melissa smiled while wiping my table.
I smiled vaguely.
"Yeah... I guess I haven't made an appearance in quite some time... How are the two?" I ask, taking a loud sip out of my drink.
Melissa stopped wiping for a brief moment, and sighed quietly.
"I guess they're fine... In a way." She said softly.
Something is definitely wrong with the two... I can see it in her eyes.
Usually she has the brightest smile, but when I mentioned anything about the two, she seemed... Depressed."Well, thank you for the conversation. I needed it." I said before putting on my fedora and waving goodbye.
"Don't be a stranger. Come visit often and please... Don't mourn over her disappearance." Melissa gave me one last sympathetic look before returning back to her job.As soon as I stepped out the store, a cold breeze brushed against my face. A freezing sensation crawled down my spine.
I knew there was a huge possibility my life can be destroyed... But those two? Never in a million years would I have guessed they were going to be in a bad state.
With tears in my eyes, I look up into the cloudy skies.'Why must everything for everyone I know gone to hell?' I thought to myself.
At that very moment, the bright blue moon shone through the dark clouds and a blinding light rain down on me.
They need my help... My problems may be bigger. But there isn't any hope left for me.They still have a chance at a good life.
Location: ???
Date: ???
Time: ???My leg is bleeding so much my mind is foggier than the setting of a Splatoon mystery show.
If the bleeding continues, I don't think I can stay conscious any longer...
Slowly, my eyelids begin to close.'No I can't... I can't just leave Orae...' I think to myself as I force my eyes open.
My life couldn't end yet... I have so many things yet to accomplish."Hey runt! Get up!" A tall octo warrior looms above me.
I smirk mockingly at the soldier.
"Don't you think that's kind of hard when I'm at the brink of death?"
The soldier says nothing.
"Yeah, you're right... I should get up and DIE!" I shout furiously.
The soldier grabs me by my shirt collar, which was stained with my blood.
"Just because she choose you doesn't mean I will kiss your ass!" He spits in my face before dropping me into the cold stone floor.
"True, but you can be less of a DICK to me! Your mom sucks at teaching manners!" I shout back before coughing violently.
He grinds his teeth and gave me absolute furious eyes.
Then he continues to plant his feet into my ribs continually until I was completely out of breath and sprawling blood everywhere.
"Where did you learn to kick? The ANGER MANAGEMENT CENTRE?!" I yelled at him before he boots me in the face."Stop." A soft voice came from behind my aggressor.
"Ma'am! Didn't see you there." The soldier saluted to the owner of the voice and stepped aside.
Behind her was a young inkling lady with soft baby blue hair, bright pink eyes and wearing a large blue dress.
Other than the fact that she has eyes duller than a chalkboard, she is the most prettiest girl I have ever seen.
"You'll kill him. And father will not be pleased." She warned the soldier quietly. The soldier thanked the lady and scurried out of the dark dungeon.
"Oh gosh, you're bleeding. I'm so sorry about him. People here don't like strangers..." The lady explains with a smile.
I immediately feel more relaxed around this girl, something about her just makes me feel better.
"Yeah.. I can tell..." I cough. "Where exactly am I?"
The girl then frowns.
"They didn't tell you?" She asked.
I shook my head.
"Well, we're in Octopical City. Where inklings and octolings live in harmony for centuries." She explains, smile widening when saying the words 'in harmony'.
I get up slowly and sit on my rusted metal bed.
"Octopical City? The lost city?"
"Yes. That's what people of Inkopolis calls us." She looks at me with worry.
"Is something the matter?"
I couldn't believe what I'm hearing. Is this true? Am I in an ancient undiscovered city? What the hell is going on?
"N-n-no. It's just it hard to take in." I sigh loudly.
She smiles and touches my shoulder.
"Don't worry. After all you did tell my father you wanted to be here." She smiles.
Confusion hit me in the face hard.
"What? No I didn't. I don't even know who your father is!" I explain, raising my voice slightly. It was her turn to be confused.
"What? B-b-but father told me an Inkopolis gentlemen wanted to meet me." She explained.
I chuckled a little.
"I can guarantee you that I'm not the man your father is talking about."
She scratches her blue tentacle hair.
"No, we did get the right person! Look at this photograph father gave me!" She showed me a picture.
In the picture was the SquidKicks store, and surely enough I was there walking in.
"But I never..." I stop and plant my face in my palms.
When did all this happen? What is happening right now anyway? This girl... Who is she and what is she trying to tell me?She stares at the photo for a long time silently before talking again.
"Father must've chose you without your consent... My father is like that." She sighs and stuffs the photo into her pockets.I look up from my hands.
"Wait... Chose me to do what?" I asked. She blushes a little.
"...well...um..." She stuttered.
Something in my mind just died.
"W-w-well what?" I ask.
"Well... He chose you... To be my..."
Something isn't right, I don't like this one bit... I've got to get the hell outta here.
I need to get back to Inkopolis.
I need my backup squadron.
I need my weaponry.I need my Orae....
"To be my fiancé." She finally said.
I felt like fainting.
