Nakangiti lang akong nakikinig sa usapan nila Dennise at Fille. We were at Kfc, kakatapos lang ng volleyball namin and I was so happy that Dennise joined the crowd to cheer for us. The malls in Toronto decided to create a volleyball league. And their great way to do that was to ask the catholic school board to represent their malls. One of the schools that were chosen is our school.
"That was amazing people! The other schools' players were tall and we were like meh..." Amy said making us laugh.
"What happened anyways?"-Bang
"We are the champions! Yaaaa! And thats what happened!" Michelle exclaimed showing us her medal.
Yes, we were the champions. Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyari. Pag pasok pa lang namin ng court a week ago gusto na naming mag back out. I mean, the other teams players' were tall. Sobrang tangkad nila, members nga namin may mga maliliit na players eh. They have other Filipinas in their team pero matatangkad pa rin sila.
Eh? Sabi ko that day, if we were not going to make it in our first game, then we'll quit. But what happened was, we won twice. That was a sign for us to continue and finish it right? We were right! Nam mo! Sa huli kami pa pala champion. And si Dennise... Speaking.
First day, I asked her if gusto niya manood, sabi niya ayaw niya. She's not into Sports kaya hindi ko siya pinilit. Second day, pinilit ko ulit, ayaw pa rin. Sabi niya huwag ko daw siyang pinipilit dahil baka mahampas niya ako pag nabwisit siya. Dahil dun sa bahay ako umuwi for two days. Bahala siya sa buhay niya, right? Pero namiss ko din siya.
Third day. Ayun! Wala kaming imikan. Nag away kami. Dahil sa volleyball. Nabwisit ko ata siya. Pero after the game nung umuwi naman ako, okay na kami. Nanonood pala siya sa tv. Tinatamad daw siyang lumabas, but what I know was that, her dad asked her to finish her University applications. Kaya ngayon free na siya.
"Thank you." Nakangisi kong sabi at hinalikan siya sa pisngi. Natahimik siya sa pag sasalita habang nakatingin kay Fille.
"Nag lalambing na naman si Alyssa! Kaumay na ah!"-Fille
"Inggit ka lang!" I stuck my tongue out and put couple of fries in my mouth.
"So ganun nga! Pumunta siya ng condo and asked me to sign the contract..." She paused when I put a fries in her mouth. "I even asked her if pwedeng one of my friends eh kasama din. So since... Babe anu ba?" She pinched my arm making me laugh.
"Ayan! Alyssa kase!" Jia annoyingly glared at me.
"Hahaha. Sorry." Tumatawa akong nag peace sign sakanila ni Fille. I pressed my face on Dennise's shoulder causing the latter to smile and glanced at me.
"Later babe." She kissed my forehead before facing her friends. "Ate Justine told me that if you guys are in Universities then she will recommend you to her friends. I mean it's just modelling. Kaya niyo naman yun! And I asked her if pwedeng dito nalang sa Toronto."
"Right! Omg! I wish nasa University na ako. Ka excite."-Fille
"Pero you think our parents will allow us to do that?"-Bang
"Well, my mom seems to love ate Justine's fashion shows. So maybe for me, yes! Saka it's for girls din naman!"-Jia
"And guys! It's for our future careers, don't you think it's 101 worth it opportunity?!"-Ella
Napaayos ako ng upo at saka sumandal kay Ara na nasa tabi ko. "Are they talking about modelling?" I asked.
"Obviously. Pag magkakasama sila yan naman lagi nilang usapan."-Ara
