Emma grinned when she saw Bae standing on the fire escape smiling brightly.
"Em, we need your help, Geraldine gonna tell us who her parents were!" He exclaimed and Emma frowned.
"Who's Geraldine?" She asked tilting her head to the side in confusion.

"She's like eleven years old and totally bad A, she had a brother named Gustav but he died and she hasn't seen her parents since before the curse. So we decided to help her find them." Bae explained and Emma grinned.
"Of course I'm in, let's go!"she exclaimed softly as she let Bae pull her out onto the fire escape.

" Emma you're in sweats and a T-shirt." Bae giggled and Emma reached through the window pulling on her red jacket and boots.
"There now I'm officially myself again."
"I got to admit Em you could make a paper bag look stylish." Bae joked and Emma laughed closing the window slowly and quietly as they began to race down the fire escape.

Once they hit the bottom Emma couldn't help but feel slightly tired like maybe just maybe her mom was right. Then Bae started to run and Emma, not wanting Bae to see her as a weakling took off after him.

After awhile Emma was dragging her whole body felt like lead and she almost wanted to be caught by her dad, mom, aunt someone. But nope today they were all conveniently uninterested.

Bae turned and saw Emma looked lost but seemed to be moving around the speed of a snail with a brick tied to it's shell.
"Come on slowpoke we only have until the beach on the castle then we'll make it to the others." He joked and Emma frowned then smiled as best as she could manage.
"You're on small fry." She joked as she began to run after Bae.

Emma felt her legs shaking and her stomach felt like it was going to empty itself all over the sidewalk.
"Bae." Emma whispered softly her voice labored. He turned studying his friend.

Before he could ask if something was wrong. Emma took his hand distracting him as he smiled and little did he know was Emma was using his strength to keep herself up.
"So tell me...more ab..about..t..Geraldine... Is ...s..sh..she.. Ni...nic..nice....?" Emma asked panting heavily and Bae nodded.

"Yeah Geraldine well we all call her Geri she's super nice." He explained and Emma nodded barely able to keep her own head up.

They continued on though and Bae eventually released Emma's hand and asked if she wanted to race again. Emma swallowed the bile that was rising in her throat and managed a weak nod. Bae started to run and Emma slowly fellowed but she wasn't running her legs seemed to manage shuffling down the sidewalk but that was basically it.

"Come on Emma don't be slow!!" Bae called and Emma looked up at him, her vision going hazy ; so much so that she saw three or five Baes calling out to her. Emma groaned as she managed to start pitifully jogging towards what she thought was where the real Bae was.

Then she tripped hitting the sidewalk extremely hard. Emma choked then her vision went black and she lay there. Bae panicked as he raced off to get his friends. The door to the shop Emma had collapsed in front of opened and a woman, who's hair was done up in a loose bun and she held a broom tightly as she looked down at Emma.

"Hey are you alright?" She asked as she leaned down feeling for a pulse. "Naveen cone here!!" She called and he raced out from their restaurant and frowned.
"Tiana!" He called then froze when he saw her holding the small blonde girl who looked sickly.
"Naveen her pulse is weak we need to get her to a hospital!" She exclaimed. Naveen nodded swiftly as he picked up the little girl and threw Tiana the keys.
"Start the car Tia!" He yelled and in seconds she had the car started and pulled in front of the building as soon as Naveen placed her in the backseat and buckled her up and climbed in Tiana sped away from the curb towards the hospital.
