Breakfast was horrible. The very sound of them swallowing their food drove me insane. The way that they would set their forks down with a clang after every bite ran me up the wall.

I can't wait to kill you.

I sat quietly, playing with my food, pushing it back and forth with my fork. I will probably never be hungry again.

Well, for anything but revenge. Okay, that sounds a little cheesy, but I do want these bastards dead.

Captain looks at me with an unapproving glare, seeing as nothing on my plate has been anywhere near my mouth.

"Fine," he says shrugging, acting like he doesn't care. "Starve for all I care, makes it easier for me."

I set my fork down with a harsh clatter and make to stand up, looking to the younger boy to watch his annoyed expression as I stood and started to head off.

Fuck you. Fuck this shit. I'm out. I'll find another way to kill you.

Only to be blocked by guards at the doors. I sigh, pick up my skirts, and walk towards a window instead. Glaring at the two assholes at the table, that were just barely starting to get up to stop me, I swung my legs over the side and braced for impact.

It was a short drop, and the boots made it not too painful.

I grin to myself as I start jogging towards the forest, making sure to look back at the captain and his bastard son start to chase after me by also jumping out of the window.

Too bad that they aren't as good at climbing trees as I had become.

"Peter, c'mon! That's no fair! You win every time!" I cried from a few branches below him.

Peter just laughs in return, "Well maybe if you weren't so slow you may beat me one day!"

I pouted and crossed my arms, "Yeah, if I were to be a cheating low-life..." I smiled towards the area Peter had been sitting, seeing his face contort into an expression of sarcastic surprise.

"WHAT?! HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT I, PETER P., HAD CHEATED! I AM OFFENDED!"

I stated to slow clap in a way that was similar to his response, "Wow, what a great performance. What, did you cheat your way through drama class too?"

"Hardy-har-har, you're so damn funny Deanna, nothing like an ass at all," Peter smugly replied and slowly climbed down from his branch to mine, "You know, there is a secret to doing it so fast... Would you like to know?"

"Oh god, here comes another pile of BS from the mouth of the cheater," I grinned and leaned against the trunk, and in my best imitation of Peter's accent, I replied, "sure, I would absolutely adore to hear what your secret is Peter, it couldn't have piqued my interest more!"

"You know what? You don't need to know, whatever, i'll just keep it to myself forever and you'll always be too slow." He shrugged.

"Oh come on, you and I both know that you can't keep your big mouth shut for more than five minutes." I smirk as I let myself fall to the grass around the base.

"Touche, but this time, i'll keep it a secret for a super long time, you'll see!"

"Sure Peter, tell you what," I turn to him and take twenty dollars out of my pocket, "If you don't tell me your 'secret' for three years, i'll give you this here twenty dollars."

Immediately Peter grinned at the mention of a bet, I knew his weakness well enough to know I would win.

"But, you have to keep your mouth shut about it the whole time, no hinting, no innuendos, just silence about it. And in three years, you can tell me whatever bull crap lie you feel like telling me." I held my head high with my hands on my hips, knowing damn well he's gonna lose by the end of this week, at least.

Peter stood quietly for a moment, seeming to really contemplate this bet, and in no time agreed. He spit in his palm and I followed suit as we shook on it and the bet was made.

"Alright, deal, ill follow your rules, if and only if you follow mine." Peter said with a hint of a smile on his face.

"Oh dear, what now?" I sigh, he's going to complicate this whole thing by a million times.

"You have to hear me out when I explain to you what my secret is," I was surprised in Peter's sudden seriousness and change of tone, "You have to actually give me a chance to explain and not judge me nor laugh."

I was taken back by his reply for a moment, "Peter, you know I would never think of you in a bad way, willingly. I'll always be by your side, and I've never judged you... Behind your back." I laughed and jumped onto his back in piggy-back style, "i'm your friend, but if you lose this bet you better not try to get out of your end of the deal, cheater."

Peter laughs in reply and started skipping away from the meadow, humming a song he only ever hummed on the best of days.

I yanked my skirts up to my waist as I searched for the perfect tree. The sound of hollering men chasing after me had been getting closer and closer, just putting more pressure on me finding this damn tree.

Once I found it, I had kicked my skirts nearly all the way off as I made my way up the tree. The branches were thinner at the top, just think enough for me but none of the beefy men that decided to chase after me.

Dumb asses, think they can outrun me? This is only the beginning of it boys, just hold on a moment and see.

I get to the top and I look over at the goons trying to climb this tree, they had apparently never tried to climb anything besides a rope in their lives it seemed. I laughed as my feet and arms launched myself to the nearest tree and I flew across to the next one from that one. I had utilized the thin branches to my assistance in getting away. And as far as I could tell, it was working.

The idiots kept trying to climb each tree I had been launching myself from instead of just following me.

I saw the figure of Ash try to do the smart thing and just follow my trail, but instead I just started zig-zagging my way around the forest, which seemed o really piss him off because I was in so much better shape and much faster than him. The bright morning sun had gone through to a midday one and as shining right in his eyes, just perfect enough for me to make him lose my tracks so that I could do the easier thing and just run.

Finally, he seemed to have given up. He stopped in his tracks, put his hands on his knees, and was heaving breaths like he had asthma. I smiled and waited for him to look up at me.

"The jungle is dangerous, girl! You won't get out of there alive anyhow!" Ash said breathlessly.

I moved around the branches so that he could see me perfectly, then I brought both my arms up and did a double flip-off to him.

Ha! Let it be then! I pity the poor soul who tries to kill me!

He shook his head side to side for a moment and just watched me as I went further away and  soon dropped to the ground to navigate my way to the lost boys.

I smiled, I was on my way to get my revenge. But oh boy, I was not going to stop there.
