Chapter 8: training day

I'm sorry that I didn't publish in a long time. It wasn't finished and I don't like publishing unfinished work. Plus, because of school getting out, I will be posting whenever I want to until school starts back. This will let me talk to and play with my friends a lot more.

Crystal 's POV
I took the girl that Shadow said was Elizabeth to the forest. I know that Shadow told me to take her to the training ground, but if she is anything like the power keeper Herrera, her powers only work when someone is in danger or if she thinks someone is in danger. I take her to the oddly shaped rock that looks like a seat. She sat and started to say. "Hey I know this place." I turned around confused at her statement. "What do you mean?"
"This is the part of the forest I walk through to get to my school in the morning."
"But that's impossible." I blurted out. I immediately was regretting what I said. She wasn't wearing the necklace before now, So how was she able to get in the forest. Elizabeth started to speak. "What do you mean 'impossible'?"
I stammered of a sentence. "N...never m...mind."
She just looked around like I actually said nothing to her. I'm gonna ask her about it later, after she knows more about our powers. She asked me another question "So what we doing here?"
"You sit here for a bit while I get something."
"O.k."
I thought up a plan that would surely test her powers. If I could lure a shadow to attack me, maybe Elizabeth could help me destroy it. It was risky, but it could work.

Elizabeth's POV
I stayed where the neko told me to and waited for what seemed like forever. I look around and see the girl running/limping towards me. She yelled out a few yards away. "RUN!" I look behind her and see a shadowy figure chasing her. My necklace necklace started to glow after I seen that she was limping. I ran to her quickly, lifted her ovet my shoulder, and carried her to the house. At these times, I'm lucky that I go to the gym.

*Time skip*

Emerald's POV
I went out with my plan, but she didn't attack the shadow. Instead, she ran with me over her shoulder back to the house. Luckly, the house has a magical barrier around it protecting us from the shadows. Just great, now I'm gonna get in trouble for another one of my ideas. Although she is surprisingly strong for a untrained power keeper even if I only weigh 100 lb. Ace will not be happy that I went out and found trouble. Emerald is gonna yell at me for doing one of my "stupid ideas" again. Well less yell, and more lecture. She never yells at anyone. If anyone was gonna yell it is gonna be Mackenzie. She will probably "disown" me. Its basically where she won't talk to me for saying something bad about something she likes. It goes on until I mention something she wants to do like watch anime or star trek, or if I listen to another "welcome to nightvale" podcast. I guess I will be stuck here until I heal.
