I woke up the next morning and just wanted to do the simple look. I took a shower & brushed my teeth. I chose a black halter top, a jean high waisted shorts, some high knee socks, and my white converse. To compliment it off, I wore my hair in a messy bun and wore my usual light makeup.

I walked downstairs and saw my dad eating breakfast along with my brother eating something too.
"Hey dad, what time did you come home last night?"
"I don't know, but it was late, but it's alright."
"You really shouldn't stress yourself out like that"
"Gabi, it's for us okay, and don't worry, I'm fine."
I grabbed a granola bar from the counter and walked down the block with my brother to our buses.
His bus stop is only halfway down the block so halfway down the rest of the block i walked alone.
I got into the bus and got to school.
I stepped out of the bus and Jess ran up to me and we walked arm in arm into school.
"Oh my god, did you hear what's gonna happen today?", she said.
"what?", I said.
"The Dolan twins are planning on embarrassing you on today in gym class. When you talked back to Grayson the other day, he got pissed."
"Wait, so that's his name?"
"Yeah, the one with the mole on the chin is Grayson, the one who is always in trouble. The other one is Ethan, he's trouble like his brother, but doesn't talk much.", she said.
"Well, don't worry, I'm not really scared of that douchebag."
We walked to our lockers and the cool group started walking towards us. I saw the twins and the Ethan kid shoved Jess which made her fall to the floor and drop her books.
"Watch where your going dumbass", Grayson said.
I helped her up and grunted.
"Don't talk to her like that asshole", I replied.
"Awee, the new girl sticking up for the nerd, that's cute, but in case you didn't notice, around here, I'm the boss."
"Okay, one, this nerd, is my best friend so don't talk to her like that, and second, I don't care if you are, haha, what?, am i supposed to be scared of you?", I replied confidently.
Everybody in that group laughed and i just walked away with Jess.
"Wow, that was amazing what you did back there, thanks for sticking up for me.", Jess said.
i hugged her, "No problem, don't let people bring you down like that, but if you're in trouble, just know I'll be here."
I just remembered my old friends and school, when I would always hang out with Naomi and Ana, sticking up for them too, and I started to cry a little.
"Hey, hey, you okay?", she said wiping my tears.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just a little homesick, that's all."
"Don't worry, I'm here", she said and wiped my tears.
