I woke up the next morning feeling all bubbly inside. I was overcome with happiness. I've never felt this happy since....well before my mom died. My parents never were happy of how I acted. But they still loved me for me. I've always loved them for that. I've forgotten how it felt to be happy, to have real happiness. I'm surprised that I feel it again.
I picked out a cute baby pink halter top dress, a light brown loose cardigan, yellow knee high socks, and brown heels. I then put my hair into light waves and did the usual makeup.

I walked my brother to the bus and I went to mine after.
--Arriving to School--
I got off and went to my locker. I noticed Grayson and his friends at the end of the hallway. He was staring at me, he smiled and waved. He's so cute.
Grayson's POV
I saw Gabi at her locker and she caught me staring. She smiled and giggled. I waved to her and she waved back.
God she's beautiful. Just her and her personality just makes her absolutely gorgeous. She looked so pretty today.
She was smiling at me until I noticed her smile faded away and gave a blank stare. I turned to my side to see Victoria focusing on us. She signaled the group to walk over to Gabi's direction. She looked furious.
Victoria got real close to Gabi's face.
"Um, excuse me slut, what do you think you're doing?!"
"I was just saying hi to Grayson"
"Okay just cause you guys got assigned that project together, doesn't mean you have to go stealing my bf."
"Well I wouldn't have to if you weren't always annoying them."
Victoria was pissed.
"Listen here bitch, Grayson's mine and he loves me, there's nothing you can do about it..... right babe!", she said as she flirtatiously put her arm around me.
I looked at Victoria and then looked back at Gabi. Gabi looked at me with those big beautiful brown eyes. Victoria looked confused, "babe?..,Is there a problem?".
I took her arm off me, "Oh nothing, I'm just breaking up with you, that's all."
Victoria stomped her foot, and yelled, "you're going to leave me for that SLUT!!"
The noise started to attract everyone's eyes.
I was so annoyed I couldn't take it anymore, "First of all, Gabi isn't a slut, she's beautiful and unique and I love her for that. I didn't realize it at first, but when I met her, she took my breath away, okay! Look Victoria, all you like to do is put people down to make yourself feel better, I'm tired of you, I'm also tired of being the 'cool kid', I'm sick of always having to be someone I don't want to be anymore. And this girl right here made me realize it. I love you Gabi..."
Everyone clapped and cheered. I looked down at Gabi. We laughed and she smiled, looking like she was about to cry, "I love you too Grayson".
When those words came out, I was so happy, I held her chin and kissed her.
"WAIT, SO YOU'RE JUST GONNA BREAK UP WITH ME, JUST LIKE THAT!", Victoria screamed.
"I'm tired Victoria, I'm done." I held Gabi by the waist with one arm and walked away with her.
Gabi smiled and leaned her head in my chest. I blushed, I was so happy. I finally made my choice....to be happy. I chose the girl.
--Lunch Time--
Gabi's POV
I looked for Jess and saw her at the table sitting there already eating. I walked over to her and sat next to her.
"OH MY GOSH!, I heard what happened this morning, omg so are you guys a thing now?!", she screeched.
"Lol, yeah, I'm so happy"
"AGHH", she yelled and jumped onto me giving me a hug.
"But hey, watch out for that dude, okay? Still don't trust him." She said all serious.
We both laughed and she hugged me again.
"I'm so happy for you Gabi...well speak of the devil.", she smiled and pointed behind me, I turned around to see Grayson, "Hey Gray, what's up"
"Hey babe, thought I would sit here with you today, since, well you know, after that scene I don't think my friends will let me sit with them anymore.", he chuckled and gave a weak smile.
"Hey it okay, if they don't want you there, then they are not real friends, and that was really brave of you Gray, sticking up for me", I said and kissed him on the cheek.
"As long as your with me, I'm happy"
I blushed and he held my hand.
"AWE, you guys are so cute!", Jess said.
"Hey I'm Grayson, I don't think we've actually met, but I'm sorry for the way I treated you.", Grayson said and held out his hand. Jess shook it, "Yup, I think he's okay".
I laughed and noticed Ethan and his friends were walking over to us. Grayson turned around and saw Ethan.
"Hey Gray, I'm sorry for the way we acted, but I wanna be there for you, and if this girl makes you happy, then that's totally okay with me." His friends agreed. Grayson got up and hugged Ethan.
"Thanks man...well, this is my gf Gabi."
Ethan held out his hand, "I'm Ethan", and he smiled.
"Hi I'm Gabi", and shook his hand. Ethan smiled and I did the same. I could already tell that we would get along.
Everything was going so well, I was so glad it turned out okay. I couldn't believe it, I had a loving boyfriend, a best friend, and a normal high school year so far. It was all I could ask for. I was so happy. I mean, what could go wrong, right?
