Chapter 11: All Goes Well, Until All Goes Downhill...

Gabi's POV

Grayson walked me home and we talked on the way about random things. I was so comfortable talking to him, about anything really.

I was filled with butterflies in my stomach. Grayson had his arm around my waist the whole time we walked, i felt so protected. I couldn't wait to tell my family, and my dad was supposed to be home too. My day just keeps getting better...

Grayson and I reached my house and I was so happy....until I saw the door of my house wide open...

I didn't think, I ran inside with worry hoping and wishing everything was okay..

Grayson's POV

Gabi ran inside her house when she noticed her front door was wide open..

Oh no this can't be good...

I ran after her and saw her inside calling her family's names. The house was a mess, I saw broken glass on the floor. I saw blood on the stairs and on the kitchen floor.

This really isn't good....

"OLIVER!...DAD!...Guys where are you?!!", she searched through the the house. She started pacing back and forth with her hand on her forehead. She was panting and hyperventilating and I tired to calm her down and finally got her to sit on the couch, her head in her hands, I could hear her loud sobs. I hugged her tight with both arms, rubbing her back. She hugged me back and I could feel her tears on my dress shirt.

"Grayson, I do-don't know what to-to do...", she said, "What happened to them, where did they go?", she said saying over her sobs.

"It's okay, we'll figure this o-"

"NO GRAY, ITS NOT OKAY!"

I jumped a little when she screamed, my face was in shock.

"Ughhh, I'm-I'm sorry babe...its just....I'm scared...I don't want anything to happen to them..they are the only family I have left...I don't want to loose them too..I can't, I won't....I knew I should've stayed home, I should've stayed until my dad came home, maybe this wouldn't have happened...its all my fault.....all over again.", she said crying. Every sentence each cry became deeper and more tears streamed down her face.

I held her close, I held her as tight as I could. I rubbed her head, "Don't worry Gabi, I'll be right her with you by your side, we'll find them, don't worry, and we'll do it together...."

I felt her arms come up and hug me around my waist.

I'm not going to let anything ruin her again. I was going to make sure we find her family. She needs to happy. That's all I want for her. I'm going to make sure she finds her family, and I'll be at her side doing it. Nothing it more important to me than her happiness now...
