Hidden Light: Another friend

       "Melany~~~!" I hugged Melany tightly. "That Ryan is too....bright."

Melany looked at me with a blank look, than chuckled. "Aw, come on El ! He's just trying to be nice.." Every girl had their eyes on their prey-Ryan. They all wanted him. When Ryan passed by me, Mahonshiro reacted again. This is too strange...He paused in front of the two of us and said," Hi! And Elieen, thank you for helping me today!"

            Yah. Happy to help.

      The only response he got from me was a nod. Melany chatted with him for a while and waved him goodbye. By then, everyone was glaring at us. All feeling jealous. How are we at fault if he was the one who approached us?

       Well, I don't really understand these humans..they are always liking people by how they look! How...outrageous. Now that I think about it, this is the first time that someone in this school besides Melany, talked to me. I guess that Ryan guy isn't so bad after all.

     At home, in the tiny two-room flat, I got changed to take a walk in the nearby park.

     Guess who I met there...

RYAN.

At that time, I was not wearing my cloak or anything. I pretended to not notice him but since he managed to get a quick look at my face at school, I think he recognised me.

      "Erm...excuse me..." Ryan walked briskly towards me. I kind of freaked out a bit. I froze. "Yes?"

I replied awkwardly. "Are you Elieen??" he asked. I pretended not to know and tried convincing him that he got the wrong person. He looked at me closely. " You have the same sky blue eyes as a person I met long ago....and someone I just met today too.."

Eeek! He probably meant me!! But who is this person that he met long ago? I let that thought pass and quickly said that I had to run an errant and was in a rush. He finally let me go and apologised for the bothering me.

       I know right?? That was such a close call! I could have fainted. I ran back home quickly and told my mom how was school that day. I always tell her how things are going with my classmates. Everyday was the same- nobody talks to me except Melany. She was certainly surprised when I mentioned that Ryan had talked to me. Elistia,my mom, smiled when she heard me mention the name:Ryan. For some reason.

ELISTIA'S POV:

       I smiled when I heard of my daughter making another friend at school. And making friends with a boy with the same name as her past human friend-Ryan. He was certainly a sweet young boy. He always showed my Elieen around last time..but it was too bad that we had to say bye two days after they met. 

      I have not told Elieen about leaving her second necklace with little Ryan..because I want her to reunite with him in the future since he is the first human that Elieen ever made friends with!

     I am not a bad person alright?

My daughter is such a beautiful girl but she keeps hiding her face...*sighs* I should not have bought her that cloak for Halloween 6 yrs ago..

BACK TO NORMAL:

    I continued doing what I  normally do everyday...

    I looked at my Mahonshiro and sighed. When will I ever find the Mahonkuro?
