Chapter 8

Entering the house,she wished her sister wasn't home but at the same time she wish she was.She can't stand the thought of Bomi and Chen spending so much time together...it brings anger and sadness.

"Waegurae???" Taeyeon look around the dark place she's in "Minseok-ah? Is umma and Appa home?" She asked,hoping her brother to answer but the place stayed silent.

Walking towards the stairs,she keep touching the wall,hoping to touch the light switch but before she did,all the lights turn on,surprising her with how the house was set up.

"What's this Minseok?" She ask her brother who's now holding a cake with their parents behind him.

'Is this because I won the school's song composing competition last week?' She ask herself as she felt happiness ate all the sadness she was feeling earlier.

"Noona,where's Bomi?" Minseok put the cake down which made Taeyeon confuse with what's actually happening.

She thought...

"Oh! She's coming! Turn the light off Taeyeon!" Mrs.Kim yelled excitedly.

Still puzzled,Taeyeon find the switch and turn the light off before Minseok pull her to hind behind the kitchen counter.

"What's happening Minseok-ah?"

"Shhh!" Her little brother shook his head,waiting for the door to open.

"Taeyeon-ah," She turn to look at her mom who handed her a balloon "give that to your sister,arraseo?"

Taeyeon's face fall as she felt something weird inside her.Disappointment? Envy? No.It was beyond that.

"Minseok-oppa? Taeyeon-unni?" Bomi's voice rang through the dark house as she hesitantly went inside "Oppa??? Unni???"

"Appa! Light the candles!" Minseok push his dad who's taking some strawberry from the cake he's holding.

Taeyeon can only chuckle bitterly as she watch how surprise Bomi was when Minseok appeared,holding a cake.

"What's this umma? Appa? Oppa?" Bomi ask after blowing the candle and opening the light.

"Happy one month with us!!!" Everyone yelled then engulf Bomi in a hug.

"Also,I heard you placed 2nd on a test taken by the whole school." Mrs.Kim proudly pull away "Aigoo~ my baby is so wonderful.Mianhe we are only celebrating this now.Me and your dad are busy with business trips."

"It's ok umma." Bomi chuckle "Where's unni by the way?"

Taeyeon stand up and walk slowly towards Bomi as their mom called her.She handed the balloon she's holding and was about to walk upstairs when Bomi held her wrist.

"Unni,you know Chen-"

Hearing her sister saying his name cheerfully hurt her.She shrug her off,not even looking back.

"Taeyeon,are you ok?" Mrs.Kim ask,worry is evident in her voice.

Taeyeon force as smile,nodding her head "I just need some rest."

"But we are celebrating.Come on noon~ Don't be a mood ruiner." Minseok nudge her playfully.

"Yeah...a ruiner.That's what I always am." She whisper but still sat down on the dinner table across Bomi.

"Umma,Appa~" Bomi cooed "You guys don't have to do this.Being with you guys are enough."

Taeyeon roll her eyes 'What a fake personality you have' she wants to say but keep it in.She don't want to ruin everything for her mom and dad.They've suffered enough.
