Spirit of the doll (discontinued)

Chapter 5

Instead of going to sleep when mommy and daddy left my room I stayed up as if there was something in my room. I grabbed Misty from my night stand and hugged her so tight I thought she was going to break in my arms. "What do I do now? What if I go to sleep and the house is on fire when I wake up?" I couldn't stop thinking of that darn dream! So to get over the dream I cried, eventually I cried myself to sleep. I woke up once more but it wasn't my room, my house or even my clothes. My pink and yellow night gown had turned into a red and black dress and my bunny slippers had been turned into black high heels.

"I'm not even old enough to wear high heels!" I told myself. "And I don't own any of this!" Then it hit me, I'm in a dream, that's the only possibility to this. The room I was standing in was pitch black and the only thing in front of me was Misty. I was about to reach down and grab Misty but a flash of light blinded me and I shrunk back. "That hurt my eyes! Misty what just happened?!" Instead of hearing Misty talk to me she split in half and I screamed. "MISTY!!!!" I closed my eyes tight so that I couldn't see anything that what happening before me. I opened my eyes and Misty was still split in half.

I watched as something white and ghost like seeped out of her, and yes I was scared but I forced myself to keep from shrinking back. "Hello Keayln." My mouth opened in shock, she spoke to me not through my head but directly to me. "Wh-who are you? Wh-what do you want f-from me?" I asked the ghost. I couldn't see any colors on her but she was wearing a beautiful dress with ruffles on the bottom and a lace around the neck. She also had high heels that looked similar to mine but a little taller. "Keayln! I'm Misty, the doll, I just took form in the doll actually. Beware Keayln, something is going to happen to you today on your birthday! I can't tell you now but I will tell you when you wake up."

With that everything went black and I woke up in my bed with sweat all over me from the dream. I wanted to think it was all a dream but I couldn't, I knew it was real no matter how hard I tried to forget it. I couldn't stand looking at Misty after that, all I wanted was mommy and daddy. "Mommy! Daddy! I'm awake!" I yelled down stairs. I ran downstairs and my mommy was making blueberry pancakes and daddy was drinking coffee. "Oh hey Kealyn! Happy birthday!" Mommy said walking over to hug me. Daddy put down his coffee to hug me to. Then the dream flashed back into my mind. Something bad is going to happen to you on your birthday! "What is gonna happen to me today?" I whispered to myself.

"What was that Kealyn?" Daddy asked me with a worried look on his face. "oh it was nothing!" I told him forcing a smile on my face. "We are taking you to get your present in an hour, okay sweety?" Mommy told me. "Okay!" This time I was actually happy. "I'm gonna go get dressed on my own!" Before I could head upstairs mommy held out a dress to me. "Your gift today from us!" It was a red dress with jewels around the neck, and orange ruffles at the bottom. "Thank you mommy, daddy!" I grabbed the dress and ran upstairs, when I put it on and asked Misty how I looked. For a moment there I forgot about the dream.
