Kanye's POV

I already knew that Bey and Jay were gonna reveal that they're pregnant at the VMAs, but it still was amazing to finally get to see. To see Bey up there rubbing her growing belly, and to see Jay cheering her on the whole time made me smile. I was probably smiling harder than both of them. But, seeing their happiness does make me a little envious. I mean Jay is the epitome of a real man. He's a businessman, he's talented, and he's intelligent...all of the things I strive to be. Plus, he has Beyoncé by his side. She's also talented, smart, humble...beautiful. That smile of hers...can make a whole room light up And her laugh...no! I need to stop. Sometimes I get kind of carried away. I'm a friend of theirs...nothing more...nothing less. I need to stop. I just wonder why I can't have a relationship like that. Anyway, I should probably go and congratulate them.

Jay z's POV

(Backstage)

I'm sitting backstage talking with everyone about how happy Bey and I are, until I see Kanye start making his way over here. I'm pretty sure he's coming to talk to us.

Jay: Bey look (Points over to kanye)

Bey: Oh hey Kanye! What did you think of the performance?

Kanye: I loved it. You did great...as usual. I can't believe you're getting so big. Seems like yesterday you had just found out (rubs hand on her stomach)

I noticed that Kanye's hand lingered on my wife's stomach and he was oddly close to her. I've noticed that Kanye's been acting strange lately around my wife, but that made me a little angry.

Jay: Well thanks Kanye. We're very excited and can't wait to finally hold our baby for the first time.

There was an awkward silence for a while until i finally broke it. Kanye keeps staring at Bey.

Jay: Well Bey I think we should get going. It's been a long day and you and the baby should get some rest.

Kanye: Woah woah woah! You guys aren't gonna go the after party?

Beyonce: No, Jay is right. I am a little tired and my back hurts. We should get going, but I'm sure you'll have fun without us.

Kanye's POV

I realized that was my cue to leave. I'm sure they noticed I was acting strange.

Kanye: Yeah yeah. I understand. I'll catch up with you guys later. (Looks at Jay) I'll holla at you later. (Looks at Bey and smiles) Take care of yourself.

I then walked away and started making my way to the after party.

I love Jay and Bey very much, but I wanna be like their friend. Not a little puppy dog who follows them around 24/7. I need to get a life of my own...a girl of my own. So, I'm sitting at the bar, having a few drinks when I see this familiar person across the room. I can't really make out their face, so I decide to go and investigate. I make my way closer until I can finally make out who is it.

Kanye: Am I really staring at Kim Kardashian right now? I can't believe my eyes

Kim: Hey Mr. West! Nice to see you here!

Kanye: Nice to see you too! What are you doing at the VMAs after party? Shouldn't you be at the sex tape awards (smirks)?

Kim: Ha. Ha. Ha. I'm gonna let that slide because we're friends (laughs). I'm here because Ciara invited me. We're friends.

Kanye: Yeah yeah I'm aware. So you having fun?

Kim: As much fun as I possibly could. I'm not really familiar with all the people here.

Kanye: Well do you want me to introduce you.

Kim: I'd love that thanks.

So, here I am walking around the club with Kim having a great time. We've been friends for a while now. She's funny and nice. Finally it dons on me. Then I asked kim something that i didn't think I'd ever ask her before.

Kanye: Hey kim. Do you think you'd wanna go out sometime?

Kim: Sure I'd love that! But I can only do it on Friday or Sunday.

Kanye: Friday at 8 sound okay?

Kim: Thats great! Anyway, I've gotta go its getting late. Bye Kanye.

Kanye: Bye kim.

I couldn't stop smiling. I've always liked Kim but she's always had a boyfriend. Maybe I've finally met my Beyoncé.
