"I can't wait to see Kurt und Kitty, even Bobby!" I say excitedly to Dick as I grab the small amount of belongings that I had brought with me.

"I can tell you're pretty excited." He says with a smile in his eyes.

"Ja, of coarse I haven't seen them for... three or four months." He plants a small kiss on my cheek and I blush while returning the affection.

"Are you ready?" My question catches his attention away from his utility belt and a question forms in his expression.

"Sometimes when people teleport they get motion sickness so you may be have a little disorientation."

"Ok." The corner of his mouth turns up in a little smile and I grab hold of his hand.

"Hold on tight." The instantaneous motion subsides and I'm standing next to Dick on the doorstep to the institute. Home.

"Wow, that was a very... interesting experience." He says and holds on to his stomach.

"If you do it often enough you get used to it." He balances and his face gains some color. The door is the same dark, grainy, cherry wood, with pink blotches streaking through it. My hand reaches to open it, I hesitate.

"You ok?" He asks and, for the first time, I have a fear that I can't place.

"Ja, I'm fine." I smile to reensure my half truth. He looks in my eyes and a small smile plays across his face in relief.

"Ok."

I pull the door open and hear the regular commotion of a school, stopped by the small intrusion of the opening of a door. There is silence. I walk in and a small gasp runs in a wild rampage to get to my ears.

"Maxi?" A whisper catches my eat in an emotional trap that I had run blindly into. Kurt. I run into his arms and let held back tears rush through an already thin barrier.

"I missed you, so much I could barely keep it in." I say in between hiccups and a stuffy nose.

"Ich Leibe dich, I can't believe you are here..." His sentence trails off and I feel his head shift towards the door. "Who's that?" He asks with concern.

"Don't worry, he is definitely a friend, but the story should wait for the rest of..." I'm not able to finish my sentence, for something just barreled into my side in a great, big, hug.

"Maxi, how are you here, where were you, we were so worried!" A hysterical Kitty laughs and cries in the same confusing tangle as mine. The room becomes cold and I can hear a scoff from that area. Looking up I see Emma smirking from the base of the stairs.

"Look who decided to come back." She says with an air of arrogance.

"Where were you miss Maxine, I do hope you know we spent about 3 months of wasted time searching for any trace of you." Her words hit me with a horrible realization of what I was so afraid of, hurt and pain.

"I... I was..." I'm speechless, I had no idea I had messed up this bad. A hand is placed on my shoulder, and I look up to see Dick standing by me.

"Where did you come from?" She asks him and before he can answer a look of amazement lights her face up. She turns to look back at me.

"You were in a different dimension this whole time?" I nod. Her face melts into confusion and an apology. Another hug envelopes me and quickly pulls away.

"Took long enough!" Bobby's voice says with a small tease and smirks.

"Ja, I'm glad to be back, I really missed you guys." We start to walk towards the meeting room and I'm berated by questions that I deflect by saying 'I'll answer your questions when everyone's together.' We all sit and get comfortable and I notice that Jean is gone.

"Where's Jean?" I ask and heads turn downward with pain etched around their eyes.

"She's gone." Is all I hear and no one adds on.

"Let's start with where you were." Hank's voice is calm and tired.

"When I teleported, I didn't mean to go to a different dimension." I start off, and I describe my adventure up until mine and Dick's hug, I don't want Emma knowing everything about me.

"Who is this?" Bobby says and points at Dick. I look at him and he has a worried look on his face.

"Don't tell them my name." He whispers into my ear.

"Is Megan still guarding your mind?" I ask quietly and he nods with a grim smile.

"Good, you'll need it if you want to keep your secrets." I look back at the group and think about his name.

"His name is Robin, and he's saved my but countless of times." His face shows relief and so does everyone else's, except Emma, who is suspicious of our whispering.

"So you guys have been together the whole time?" Peter asks and I blush while nodding yes. Bobby looks at Kurt with a smirk and Kurt smiles in turn. Oh great.

"Robin doesn't have a room yet, we should get him one." I say, and Bobby continues smiling.

"The one next to yours is open, that won't be a problem, will it?" He says and I feel my face burn up.

"Nein, it will not." This will not be embarrassing at all. (Please note the sarcasm)
