Song: Everybody Wants to Rule The World -Lorde
* You'll get the reference later..😏*Ava's POV :
My eyes shoot open to the sound of slamming doors and muffled voices.
Thoughts zoom through my head like a NASCAR driving race " Where are we? Do I hear the ocean? Oh my gizzards and hot biscuits they're going to tie me up and throw me to the sharks!"
I prepare myself for the worst as the trunk opens, ready to be ripped to shreds by the great whites.
The only thing I can think of is that stupid Lorde song, playing over and over in my head.
"Welcome to your life. There's no turning back.""Rise and shine" Jessie smirked."
I stick my neck around looking for any signs of water. SURPRISE! There is none.
"Where the heck is the ocean? Because I swear I heard it."
"What ocean?" he laughs, "Just turn around so I can return some of your freedom"
"Just turn around so I can return some of your freedom" I mocked with a high pitch voice, " Who even says that? You sound like a ripoff Shakespeare if you ask me"
*I know who says that. Those one people in class who try to sound all extra smart, but they end up sounding stupid. -Sips tea- No shade tho. *
"On second thought..." He started before pulling me out and tossing me over his shoulder, "Goddamn! You are heavy!" he groaned.
"No, I'm not, Your just too weak! Plus nobody told you to just throw me over your shoulder like Santa's sack."
"Weak?! Do you see these muscles?" He said, flexing his long arm in the dense darkness.
*Genius Jessie, and here I was just starting to think that we were on the same page here. Ya killing me here.*
"Genius."
He lugs me through a wooded area before meeting up with the rest of the group in a cracked concrete driveway. I crane my neck behind my back to get a good look of my next destination. It was big, creepy and looking abandoned. Kind of like the house on Bates Motel, to give you a reference.
*Better yet, is this the Bates Motel? I am almost 1000% sure it is. If Norman Bates comes sneaking around this place, that's it, I'm done. *
Being carried up some old, crumbly stone stairs is the worst. It's like being on the bumpiest roller coaster with no seat belt or restraint thing.
