Tyler's POV:
Flashback to last night :
I was sitting on the couch with the rest of the boys ( Jessie, Damien, Chris, and Blake), demolishing a bowl of kettle corn when I heard a cell phone ring.
" Hello, " Damien, answers before the plethora of ok's and yeahs.
He hangs up the phone, " Everyone listen up! As you all know we owed The Dagger Kings a favor for their assist on our last project. They've asked us for a hand in helping them store and secure their merchandise. We've agreed on meeting at 1:30 a.m.-, so be ready to go by then. "
The three of us nod in agreement, but I secretly don't want to go. I hated The Dagger King's way of handling things. They are too messy, not just figuratively either. This one time, a member of theirs named T-Bone came to drop off mission eating a chili dog. He dropped the soggy hot dog, spending chilli flying all over the place , spilling it on his shirt, my shoes, and the product we were dropping off. So long story short, they're too careless for my liking.
We all sit around, watching movies and dozing off until it was time for us to leave. We pack up the truck and hit the road.
About 5 minutes to 1:30, we park at the corner of Jersey St. and Fresno Blvd., across from the poorly lit alley we were meeting them at. Everyone opens their doors but me.
"Ty, you coming?" A confused Chris slaps my arm.
"No, I'm cool. I'm going to watch from here. Holler if you need me."
"Whatever.", Chris shrugs, jumping out of the backseat.
I keep an eye on them as they cross the street, into the suspicious side alley tagged by the Dagger Kings. I don't know why but I sense that something is about to go down. I glance down at my feet, and not even five seconds later I start hearing scuffling noises and loud whisper yelling. I try to get a good glimpse at the alley, but that stupid trash can is blocking the way. Whatever it is they can handle themselves. I casually look out my window and in the side mirror, I see a reflection of a girl walking.
"Put him in the trashcan!" Chris' voice booms through the quiet alley, shattering my focus on the girl.
Something must of went wrong with the meet up. I grab the door handle, ready to help, but I remember the girl... she could've seen something... Uh oh..
I whip my head around and search out the back windshield to see if she's there. I don't see anybody, so I check the mirror.
I see her ducking down, behind the truck, half of her delicate face concealed by the vehicle.
"Who the heck is this creepy chick?", I think to myself before being interrupted by Jessie's loud response.
"No, you put in that one house that people think is haunted... nobody would ever check for a dead body in there!"
I didn't want to pop out of the truck because she'll scream and we'll have too many problems to handle at once, so I wait.
" If she is smart, she'll leave," I murmur to myself.
