"Victor!" Tom screamed and Victor tumbled through the door. I pulled the sheets over me trying to cover myself.
"She's bleeding, call Julia and tell her to meet us in my bedroom," Tom orders. Victor nods and runs down the hall. Tom wraps the sheets around me and carries me down the hall. I started feeling light headed and I tried focusing to spot a way out. But every turn we made looked the same as the others. There were girls at the doors trying to take a look and they gasped as we passed through. We reached a hall that only had one door in the middle. I figured that was his room.
He laid me on the bed and seconds later a woman entered the room with Victor. Julia, I thought.
"My god, Tom what did you do?" Julia said with worry and she pulled the sheets off of me. I tried covering myself but Victor pulled my hands back. I looked at the sheets and they were almost fully drained in blood.
Julia's small frame moved to a table and she opened her brief case. She comes to me with tools in her hand and opens my legs. I scream and force them shut.
"Boys, leave the room please," Julia said with a smile.
"But -" Tom starts and soon my vision starts going blurry.
"But nothing, she won't leave, she's too weak." I heard Julia say. They walk out and Julia says something that I don't quite catch. I started feeling tired and the room slowly blacks out.
When I wake up I see Mallory at my side. I try sitting up but she pushes me down.
"You need to rest," she tells me. I lay back and noticed I was laying down on her bed.
"What time is it?" I ask.
"It's 11," she says and blots a damp towel on my forehead.
"Where's everyone else?" I say as I notice we were the only 2 in the large room.
"Working, Tom said I could stay with you to watch over you," she says happily.
"Mind if I lay down next to you? I had one customer before Tom pulled me out," she says. I nod and wondered how she was able to put up with it every night. She slips in bed with me and pulls the covers over me. We slowly drift to sleep.
"Mallory! Get up! I didn't pull you out so you can sleep!" We woke up startled by Tom's voice.
"Yes sir," Mallory said and stood up.
"You're not letting her rest!" Tom snapped. He raised a hand ready to slap her.
"It's okay," I say, "she's not bothering me at all, she's taking good care of me." Tom looks at me and then back at Mallory.
"Let this be a warning," Tom snapped at Mallory. Mallory nods and she sits down on a bunk next to hers. Tom makes his way to me and sits on the edge of the bed. He squeezes my leg and says "how are you feeling?"
"Fine," I mutter and move my leg away from him. He stands up and bends over me, leveling his face close to mine.
"I-I need to rest," I tell him trying to be strong as he almost kissed me. He smirks but crashes his lips against mine and stands up.
"I'll come check on you tomorrow," he says and leaves. Mallory came over and wiped away my tears. I didn't know I was crying.
"I want to leave," I cried.
"We all do," she says "but just follow his orders and you'll survive."
"How can you put up with it for so long?" I ask.
"You get used to it sometimes," she says, "I still haven't and I have a year here, but I try to think about my past life and sometimes it's like if I'm not here."
"Tell me about your life," she says. I tell her about Ryan and all the places we visited.
"Ryan sounds so handsome!" She says and I laugh. I wondered if he knew I was missing already? I hoped he did so he could come for me. We talked and I found out Mallory wasnt her real name. Her real name was Shaylah, but all the customers knew her as Mallory. She had told me that they give you a fake name so no one could find you. She also had mentioned she had a little sister who was 10 and hoped she never ended up here. she never told anyone she had a sister so the bad guys will never find her and bring her.
"Don't worry, I bet Ryan is on his way for you as we speak," she tells me and rests her head on the pillow.
"You think so?" I said.
"Of course, he will claim back what is his," she says. I smile and my mind races back to Ryan. I hoped he did find me and through everything that I would go through here, I will sleep knowing that Ryan was looking for me.
