No one paid any attention to us, luckily. We were now in front of the line. "Hello and welcome to the Rio grand hotel of Brazil, how may i help you?"...the lady was short she could barely see over the counter. Me and jamie both looked at each other wanting to laugh.
"Yes we would like one bed room 2 beds and this is only for one night" i said firmly. Cause i already know that every hotel clerk or employee always tries to give you thier bullshit deal but you still end up paying alot more than usual cause you watched thier TV. "Okay here you go! Room 124"....i grabbed our suitcases and we headed for the elevators.
We were the only ones on it. They played music from carnival of last year, which will be happening soon again...interrupted in my trail of thought jamie spoke. "So um will i be seeing you again? You know the kids are gonna want to see their uncle jason."....i looked at her i could tell she was already heart broken by her husband dying and the last thing she needed was for me to disappear. "Look jamie i will see you soon but its gonna be a while when you get to the US you have to call me okay, i dont know how long i will be here once the discover dereks body they will be looking for connections its not safe which is why i must send you off. And i will lay low if anything bad happens i will call you.".
We reached the 8th floor and walked down the hall way to Room 124. I walked in and held the door open. Jamie walked in and put the suitcases next to her bed. About 10 minutes went by she was sound asleep. I layed on my bed across from hers and stared at the ceiling wondering what will i do next after i send her off, me trying to stay strong even though i lost my brother.
Maybe after a 1 month goes by I'll go back to america will my 3 million and 2 gold bricks...just the thought of it a good life no one would know what happend today...i smiled and fell asleep. *BEEP!BEEP!BE--* i heard the alarm go off and i took it threw it across the room and it broke . I woke up jamie told her we had about 10 minutes to get to the airport for her to catch the plane.
She got up we grabbed everything and headed downstairs to the car, we got there on time until we realized when we were in the airport jamie had 3 bags i only had 2..."argh ! Fucking son of bitch. Damnit i left it at the damn hotel!?" I yelled loudly. "Okay its okay go back you still have the key just you better hope that no one went in to clean the rooms. Go! Call me when you can i love you bye!" Jamie hurried on to the plane. I watched as the plane took off.
I hurried back to the truck and started driving fast taking the first parking spot i seen i left my bags in the car locking it. I wasnt worried we had tinted window's that was all i could ask for right then and there. I ran into the hotel and hurried to the stairs by the time i reached the 8th floor i noticed the room door waz open i looked to the side and there was a woman running with my suitcase.
