Chapter four

*Madison's POV*

"Mila...?" I said whipping my eyes in disbelief. Grayson stepped in front of me like a shield, putting his arm across my torso and eyeing Mila.

"What the hell are you doing here." He said in a very serious voice.

"Oh... Hi Grayson, Madison. Um, I'm a... I kinda go here, now." She said the last part under her breath.

"That's a joke right." Grayson said, still being way to overprotective.... not that I mind.

"No actually it's not. My mom got transferred from Newark to Long Valley, I didn't have a choice."

"Grayson, relax it's fine. It happened a long time ago, let's move on." I said pushing his arm out of the way and standing next to him.

"Well Mila, I hope we can be friends." I said putting on a somewhat fake smile. 

"Uh yeah... sure." She said smiling but seeming unsure. 

I nodded, grabbed Grayson's hand, and proceeded into the building like a mature adult.

*Grayson's POV- 7 minutes later*

"GRAYSON ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!!!! THAT HOE BAG IS GOING TO OUUURRRR SCHOOL? FUCK. THAT. I DON'T FUCKING THINK SO. WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS? I SWEAR TO GOD IF SHE EVEN LOOKS AT YOU OR MENTIONS OUR DAUGHTER I SWEAR TO G-"

"BABE. Look at me, no no, SHHH. Look at me. What happened to 'Oh Grayson relax, lets be friends.'"

"You think I actually meant that? HAHA. I KNEW I LIKED YOU FOR A REASON, YOU'RE FUNNY."

"Look I'm not wild about it either, but listen Mads maybe she's different! Remember when I told you how she came over with her son and apologized for everything when you were pregnant?"

"Yeah but I don't know, something doesn't sit right with me."

"Well my love, nothing ever does." I said laughing and kissing her cheek. She sighed, what she does when she's aggravated, and started playing with her fingers, something she does when she's nervous. I grabbed her hands and looked her in the eyes.

"I remember when you used to do this when I first met you." She shyly smiled looking down.

"Yeah, I was always so nervous around you." I stroked her cheek with my thumb, and leaned in to kiss her.

"Everything's going to be aright baby, ok? It's you and me. And that bean we created." She started laughing and covered her mouth.

"Ah, I do love that bean of ours."

"So do I, because I now I have a piece of you and me that I get to love every single day." She put her hands on each side of my face kissing me, before she had to go off to her first class, which we unfortunately didn't have together.

*End of school day - Madison's POV*

My last class had just ended and I was walking to my locker. I was unpacking and reloading everything I needed into my bag, when I shut my locker I turned around and started walking towards the front of the school. Suddenly I felt a hard push on my back and I clumsily fell. 

"Oh my god I am so sorry!!! I didn't even see you! Here, let me help you up." 

"Thanks." I took the persons hand. I stood up dusting myself off and looked up bu-

"Mila?"

"Oh is that you Maddy? So sorry, didn't mean to push you over. In a rush."

"Uh.. yeah um it's fine. No worries." I said furrowing my eyebrows. She looked at me, I guess she was smiling, and then left. What the hell was that? That was an awful hard 'accidental' push. I brushed it off or at least tried to, and walked to my car to wait for Grayson. I waited for about five minutes before he came out.

"Hey beautiful." He said kissing my cheek and then hugging me.

"Ow.." I breathed out when he gripped my back.

"Sorry... Did I hurt you?" He looked at me concerned.

"Oh no its um, it's nothing. Let's just go home." He nodded, looking at me funny and got in the car. 

I'll tell him later.

We stopped at Gray's parents to pick up Juliana who was asleep from a nap. Grayson carefully set her up in the back without waking her up, and then we drove home. Once we got there I took Juliana upstairs and put her in her bed. It was about 3 so she'd probably be up within the next hour. I went into my room to change my clothes into something for comfortable, and when I was changing my shirt Grayson came in. 

"Hey M- holy shit what is that?" I turned around confused.

"What?" He walked up to me with a concerned look on his face and put his hands on the side of my waste. 

"Where'd this bruise come from? It's huge..." He said gently touching it. I jumped when he put pressure on it and he looked at me really freaked out.

"It's nothing, Gray... Mila just bumped into me when I was leaving today and I fell. No big deal, I'm fine." I said as I proceeded to put one of his crew neck sweatshirts on.

"She what?" I looked down and noticed his fists starts to clench.

"Okay babe A: please be quiet J is sleeping, and B: I'm sure it was an accident... so like you told me, relax. I kissed him on the cheek and walked past him to see if Juliana had woken up.
...I kept thinking about it more and more, it was a pretty hard shove. I mean, I hope it was an accident.
