Nova

Prologue

"Alright class who can tell me how to destroy a Nova?" Mr. Kazuichi asked.
"How about you Vulcan... .Vulcan.... Vulcan!"

"Huh?" I said,"Oh yeah. You have to destroy there core."

"Good. But stop dozing off in...."

He began a long lecture on why you shouldn't doze off in class.

*Bell rings*

"Alright class remember to bring your assignments tomorrow."

Tomorrow... such a word cannot be used in the world we live in. The world in which we live you can only draw out our time alive but never live.

It was lunch now and I was leaving the class. Then a girl with long red hair started running towards me. Her purple eyes dead set on me. When she was only a few feet away from me she jumped and expected me to catch her. I simply back stepped and she landed head first on the ground. Then she got up and looked at me with an annoyed expression on her face.

"Jeez you could have caught me you know."

"Kurenai no one told you to jump."

"So where you going to eat lunch?"

"The roof."

Kurenai Kazumi. She is a sixteen year old friend of mine. She's loud and annoying at times but she is my one true friend.

We walked up a long flight of stairs and finally reached the roof. I don't really eat anything at lunch. Kurenai keeps telling me that its not good for my health and blah blah blah.

"I made something for you," Kurenai said with a slightly red face.

She took out a red container out of her bag and handed it to me. I opened the container and inside there was bento.

"Kurenai, you didn't have to..."

"I know that dummy but I wanted to."

"Well then thank you."

I took a mouthful and paused then I began wolfing it down. It was the best thing I've ever tasted. It was done in about three minutes. I was definitely satisfied.

"Did you like it?"

"I loved it. If you kept making food like that I would probably marry you. Hahahahaha."

Her face started turning red and she turned away.

I stood up.

"Well we should probably start heading to our classes. Break's gonna end soon," I said while reaching my hand out to her.

She took it and I helped her stand up.

The next class we had was a practical using our EMA gears. Everyone had to use a greyish training module. Everyone except me and Kurenai. My dad was the head of the Nova Extermination Squad. My mom was the CEO of a company that makes EMA gears. So basically I was special. I hated the attention though so instead of using the family name (which is Kirigaya) I only use my first name. Kurenai was my friend since forever so she got a special EMA gear also.

My gear is called SCORCH. It is a quick type that uses two swords as its main weapon. It's black and red. Kurenai's is called CRYSTAL. It's pinkish purple and uses a powerful sniper rifle as its main weapon.

An EMA gear is like a metallic suit that covers your arms, abdomen and legs.

I was sparring against a guy called Shiiko. I beat him easily. I was the best in my class and second best in school because whenever he gets the chance my dad would train me.

After that two or three hour session class was finally over.

I was walking home when I heard a loud thud coming from the wall that surrounds our city. I looked towards the direction where the sound originated and saw a large crack in the wall.

There was another thud and part of the wall broke away creating a huge hole.

A machine which was at least 30 meters tall and was black and grey entered.

Oh shit. Oh shit. It was a NOVA!!!
