We finally arrived at the fair, and Sam was at the entrance. "Hey!" I waved and felt my face go bright. "I'll see you guys later, okay?" I grinned at the gang and left with Sam.

"Wait!" Tyler said. Me and Sam stopped. "Yeah?"

"Protect my sister. Don't let her out of your sight and don't lay. Your hands. On her." He threatened Sam with raised eyebrows and a forced smile.

"Don't worry." Sam smiled. "I'll bring her back safe." We walked away, leaving a slightly jealous brother and bored Riley.

"Let's ride that one!" I pointed to the ride that looked dangerous.

"Dude, yes." We rushed to the line, eager to get on.

When we finally got on, I was regretting every life decision that I ever made. "I'm going to die, I'm going to die."

"Please don't die, you look too cute to die." I looked at him, blood rushing to my cheeks.

"Oh my god," I laughed. "Thanks!?"

He laughed with me and gripped the handle. A few seconds later, we were both screaming our lungs out.

"Oh god." I giggled when we got off the ride. "That was so fun."

"Erin?"

I turned around, and saw Dylan and Aubrey together. "Oh, hey Dylan, Aubrey." I waved.

"Hey Erin, and... guy I don't know." Dylan said, sounding irritated.

"Hey, nice to meet you." Sam said happily. "My name is Sam. We met at the beach?"

"I'm Aubrey, and this is Dylan."

"Mind if I grab Erin for second?" Dylan asked Sam.

"Yeah, no problem." Sam said while making small talk with Aubrey.

Dylan pulled me to the side, "Erin, what the fuck? I've been texting you this whole date and you haven't answered any of them, and I find you here with some guy you met like an hour ago? You barely even know him!!"

"Dylan, why do you even care? You don't need me to text you non-stop about everything that's going on with you, I want to have fun too, okay! You've been with Aubrey since yesterday, and I'm totally supporting you on that but haven't you noticed that I've been kind of alone? And now that I'm with someone I like it's a bad thing? Who cares if we barely know each other it's not like anything serious is going on. We're just having fun!" I whisper yelled, hoping Sam and Aubrey wouldn't hear us arguing.

"Wh-I never said it was a bad thing!"

"Well it sure looks like you think it is, Dylan. No, you know what? We'll talk about this later or something because I don't want my night ruined. I'll see you later or whatever, bye."

"Erin, I-" He said as I walked away. "Erin!" I looked back, and Dylan looked at me sadly. I frowned and turned my head.

"Come on Sam, let's go. I'll see you later Aubrey." I grabbed Sam's arm and started walking to a food stand nearby.

Sam looked down at me. "You okay, Smiles?"

"Smiles?" I beamed at the nickname he gave me.

"Yeah," He responded. "You know, because you always have a smile on your face. Every time I look at you. You have a smile."

Okay, I thought to myself. Now is not the time to be falling in love with someone I met a few hours ago and will never see again, Erin. Control yourself.

"Let's get married." I blurted. His face went red, and mumbled something as he went to a candy stand. "Erin," He said. He got a ring pop and opened it, slowly getting down on one knee. "I know we just met a few hours ago, and I know we only know each other's names and that's it, but..." He placed the ring pop on my finger. "Will you marry me?" I started laughing really hard and nodded my head as people around us began to clap and cheer. I covered my reddening face as stood up and hugged me laughing. When he let go, I noticed Dylan at a stand, looking at us wearily. I cleared my throat and looked at Sam. "Let's go on another ride?" I smiled brightly.

Many hours later, me and Sam were trying to win a stuffed animal. "Congrats, man." Some dude handed us a stuffed Dolphin. "Thank you!" Sam smiled. He looked at me and handed me the Dolphin. "Here you go, Smiles."

I took the Dolphin and linked my arm with his. "There's gonna be some fireworks later on. Let's go?" He asked. "Sure, but I want some corn on a cob first." I grinned and laughed at me.

We were sitting on a bench, facing the beach. "I had a really good time today." I said and looked up at Sam. "Thank you, I mean it."

"Hey Erin... Can I kiss you?" He asked, staring out at the beach, "Since I'm probably never gonna see you again." My heart shattered. "Oh...Thats right, todays my last day here." I smiled sadly.

He cupped my face and said, "That's okay. Today was the best day I've ever had. I even got married with a ring pop." He pressed his forehead on mine and lightly laughed. He leaned in and our lips touched as the fireworks at the end of the night began to explode, expressing how I felt inside.

"Please tell me this won't be the last time that we'll actually see each other." My voice cracked, and I didn't open my eyes because I knew this moment was gonna end pretty soon, and I didn't want it to.

"We can still text and video chat. And hey, maybe one day I'll go visit you." My smile grew at his words. "Sounds like a deal to me."

"Come on, I'll walk you to wherever you're staying." I smiled at him. "Thanks." Sam and I began talking about random things. When we finally got to the RV, Sam kissed my cheek and I smiled sadly at him. "Bye, Sam."

"Bye, Smiles."

I just experienced a fucking fan-fiction in real life. I ran inside the RV, and noticed Mia and Riley on a bunk bed. As soon as Mia saw me, she started screaming making Riley jump.

"How'd it go?!" She sat up. "Wait not here, let's go somewhere the boys won't hear us." She grabbed my wrist and dragged me to the bedroom, with Riley not far behind.

"Okay, spill." Mia sat in front of me and Riley laid down. I began to explain in full detail, leaving out my fight with Dylan.

"Oh my god." Mia said.

"You just experienced a fanfiction dude." Riley said, looking a little awestruck. "Wait," Mia looked at Riley. "You read fanfiction? What the hell?"

"Wh-What!?? Me??? Fanfiction??? What even is that?" She looked away from Mia, who stared at her intensely.

"Guys..." I said catching their attention. "I really liked him." I started crying. "And I'm never seeing him again." I wiped my now runny mascara.

Mia grabbed a nearby blanket and wrapped it around my shoulders"Awe, we'll come again and you can see him."

"Dude, chill out. There's no need to cry." Riley deadpanned. The door suddenly flew open. "Why are you crying?!" Tyler stomped over to me. "Who made you cry." He wiped my tears away.

"I'm never gonna see Sam again because I live on the other side of the world." Tyler hugged me, as I sobbed. Posey came in and sat near Mia. "That's okay. You can talk on the phone with him right? You guys can video chat, and we can try coming often."

"Whats going on?" Dylan walked in. Dylan saw me and froze. He began to unsurely walk over to me. "Are you okay? What happened?" Dylan said as he started wiping my tears away.

I pushed him away, and got up. "Nothing, Dylan." I left the room, and walked to the bathroom. I felt his eyes on me the whole time. Boom, exaggeration is the best weapon a woman has. I think.

Five minutes later, there was a light knock on the door. "Erin?" It was Mia. "Is everything okay with you and Dylan?" I opened the door. "Yeah, why wouldn't it be?" I lied. "Because you just told your best friend that nothing was wrong with you, even though you tell him everything." She looked at me worriedly.

"I don't know. It's not... It's not really important." I shrugged as we walked back to the bedroom. I laid down next to Riley and put some music on. Mia laid next to us, and I just enjoyed the comfortable silence they gave me.
