New Relationships

Cassy was over Ashley's house Friday night.
Ashley: Hey, Cassy?
She moved in closer placing her hand on Cassy's thigh.
Cassy: Yea...?
Cassy blushed and bit her lip.
Ashley: I have feelings for you.
Cassy: Good, I was hoping you did.

Monday...
They had only gotten to 3rd period and everyone was already asking about Ashley and Cassy's relationship. They lived in a small town and the majority of people were straight, only a few guys were gay. When it came to lesbians they were all still hidden in the closet.

Zach: Wait, so your lesbian?
Cassy: Nope!
Zack: But your dating a girl?
Cassy: Right.
Zack: I don't get it.
Cassy: I'm bi.
Zack: Oh, it's the same thing.
Cassy: No it isn't.

Ashley was very open about the relationship, explaining the reason everybody knew about it. On the other hand, Cassy stayed quite and just kept it amongst her and her close friends.

Rachael: Do u realize how many people I've wanted to slap today?
Cassy: Am I supposed too?
Rachael: Well they were making fun of you.
Taylor: Saying you shouldn't have your sexuality figured out at this age.
Cassy: Well then they are just teasing themselves cause they are the ones who aren't exploring.

Ashley: Hey.
She walked over to them and pecked at Cassy's check.
Jake: Ew... lesbians. That's not right. They all rolled there eyes at him but Rachael gave him a good knee to the nuts.
Rachael: It's the fucking 21st century get used to it jackass.

It was free period so Taylor and Rachael were taking a walk outside  when they ran into Jen. Her hands were on a guy's chest and her eyes batted like butterflies.
Rachael: Quit it with the goo goo eyes.
Jen: Oh, Hey guys. This in Ben.
Rachael: I know who he is.
Taylor: But why are you with him.
Ben: Oh, we were just chatting.
Rachael: Yeah... sure.

Jen grabbed Taylor and Rachael's  arms and pulled them off to the side.
Jen: Don't ruin this for me. I really like him.
Taylor: We I think the fact that you got knocked up is kind of s turn off.
Jen: Not for him it isn't. I told him all about Jace and he's really supportive.
Rachael: Maybe cause he thinks he'll get some too.
Jen: No, he's not like that. He's really sweat and nice.
Taylor: That's what you said about Jace and look what happened.
Jen: This is different, I swear.
Rachael: Sure it is.

Only a few yards away were Cassy and Ashley sitting on the grass. There right hands were interlocked while Ashley sat in Cassy's lap laying on her shoulder.
Ashley: Are you okay with all of this? I know it must be weird for everyone to know.
Cassy: I like that it's out to the world. One less secret to keep.
She rested her head on Ashley's and closed her eyes.
Ashley: I'm here for you.
