Chapter 12
~Everything knows how to go downhill when I don't want it to. This is completely and utterly aggravating. I want to kill them, I want to kill him as well. My chest rose as well as tears threatened to spill and fall down my cheeks like a river, but only one escaped. Everything just plummets around me when I am in a good mood. Starting from this afternoon when I was told that some stupid kid named Skylar posted a video of me online of me getting knocked out by Jonas, when the principal decided that it would be great to get me my own personal body-guards, when Vince decided that it would be fun to embarrass me in front of Blake and now I'm sitting in a hospital waiting for results.
Never would I have thought that this would happen to me, nor her. My heart beat was rapid and my shoulders wouldn't give in. My eyes are now bloodshot from how much crying I've been doing during the ride here. It all started from that one call. That one call that easily changed my life and hers. Its crazy how much they don't care for her, to put her in this situation so easy and not care. Not even to give her insurance information to give her life support. That I came out of my pocket to keep her here. To make sure that she doesn't leave me in this world alone. To live with the fake people and so that he doesn't feel left out nor neglected, or even pressured to become suicidal to be with her.
*An hour earlier*
"Hello?" I said into my phone, completely confused as to why a blocked number would call me at this time of day.
"Hello is this Camile Dwan?"
"Yes this is she, may I ask who is speaking?"
"Yes, this is Doctor Fortay," why is this lady calling me," how am I going to say this." she paused. I'm guessing she was thinking. "Your friend Racheal needs you at this hospital ASAP."
My heart began to race frantically. "What is wrong with her?"
"She is suffering with a serious allergic reaction and we need some one who is willing to give her some support with funds and her insurance."
"But why are you telling me this she has parents."
"Yes we know, but they seem to be distant at the time and now you are our only resort."
"I'll be there soon."
I hung up the phone and ran back into the dining room. "Mom! Please take me to the hospital she's not okay!" I choked on my own words as I stumbled to put on my shoes and my coat.
"Who?"
"Racheal. Mom please!" She immediately grabbed her keys and ran towards the car me following hot on her trail. My heart rate quickened as the thoughts of my friend dying reoccurred over and over again. How could they do this to her? A tear slipped out of my eye and my adrenaline was knocking at the door but I wouldn't open it.
The hospital came into view as I stared out the window and looked at the incoming and disappearing trees that lead up to the facility. Since my mother works here it didn't take long for us to find a parking spot. I hopped out of the car and ran towards the lady that always sits behind the glass in the emergency entrance. "Where is she?" I whispered to her as I wiped my stray tears that was still on my cheeks. The plump lady in a green and pink nurses outfit looked up from her computer screen. She smiled and looked back down at the screen and pressed a few buttons on the keyboard.
"Name?" she said calmly, which aggravated me to no end.
"Racheal Harper." I said lowly. But somehow she managed to hear me.
"Do you know where her parents are?"
"No." I said as I broke eye contact. The last time I saw her parents was like two weeks ago when I was picking her up for school. Its a rare sight to see if you see them, especially if Rachael is with them as well.
