Chapter 17

"I think this has to be the best one!" Racheal laughed at the screen of her laptop. We were currently laying on her bed looking through the pictures the poporatzi took of us a few hours earlier.

It was a picture of me and Racheal posing like the Victoria Secrete models do at the end of the runway. Her back was pressed against mine and we were both looking into the sky. I laughed along and we continued to look through the pictures.

"You know I'm glad that you're finally out of those people's care." I smiled.

"I am too, they weren't nice people, even though I am their own flesh and blood. They didn't even care about me!" Racheal's eyes began to glass over. "They treated me like dirt! They deserve each other anyways... but who cares now... I'm got you my second mother and the hotty to keep me in check." She wiped the tears that leaked and gave a forced smile.

I wrapped my arms around her and squeezed her tight. "There's no reason for tears and I'm happy you're here too."  We stayed like that until we heard a knock at the door.

Vince walked into the room, with a small smile tugging at his lips. "Hey girls. I'm happy to have you in my home by the way, so as a welcome..."  Vince pulled his hand from behind his back and I swear I blacked out for a second. A loud shriek erupted right next to me. And a thud followed.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I cant believe it. No freaking way!" She turned to me and held up a white box that Vince had given her.  "I can't believe I got the rose gold iPhone 6!" She shrieked again.

I glanced at Vince, who has his face contorted with horror, and gave him a toothy smile. He returned it and walked out of the room. "Twining!" I shouted and held up my phone. She immediately opened up the box and pulled out all its contents. As soon as she pulled out the charger she plugged it into the wall and placed the earphones onto her bedside table.

--------------------

"Wake the hell up!" I groaned and rolled over. Bad idea? Yes.

My head snapped up and my throat made this howling noise out of pain. My hand when straight to my already bruised cheek and rubbed it gently.

"O my god! Are you okay?" Racheal yelled as she hopped off the bed and right next to me.

"Yeah, I'm good." I grumbled as I unwrapped myself from the blankets. I stood to my feet and walked towards her bathroom. My eyes grew wide as I inspected my cheek in the mirror. Purple and blue blemish formed all around the affected area. "Definitely happy I got that make-up." I mumbled to myself.

"How did that happen, anyways?" Racheal asked from the door.

It's like a war going on in my head, should I mention it or not? I did anyways and made sure I spilled every single detail.

"O my god, that's why you were late to practice. I mean I would be late too if I was around him as well."

"Rach, what happened to Ray?" I said, while rolling my eyes. We walked out the bathroom and grabbed our phones. "What do you want to do today?"

"I actually want to stay inside today if you don't mind."

"Of course I don't. I'm going to go shower and change. Meet you in the kitchen in thirty."

---------------------

Today literally meant that we were going to pig out and gossip all day. Which we did with ease.

"So, I'm not looking forward to leaving this place to go back to hell on Monday." Racheal whined.

"And why is that? We are rolling up in my car. All eyes on you."

"I do like the sound of that, but I don't know."

I shrugged my shoulders and got up from off the couch.
