Jack and Mark had just completed a full day. Signings, a panel and just in general being a part of the PAX convention.

Jack and Mark headed back to their shared hotel room. Jack flopped down onto the bed letting out a sigh. Mark chuckles as he closes the door turning to face Jack "Tired Jack-a-boy?" He paused as he looked at his friend "I thought sleep was for the week?" Jack let out a sigh, he wasn't tired, far from it in fact. He could feel that urge, the instinct, the want to be outside. Jack shook his head "Not tired just wanting to have a peaceful night." He said as closed his eyes putting his hands behind his head. Mark sat in the bed next to his friend as he rebuilt the wall of pillows they had created the previous night to allow both men to sleep without feeling awkward. The hotel has given them a double room and although both felt a connection neither acted upon that. Both were afraid of how the other would react if they knew the truth. Jack opened his right eye looking at Mark with a smirk "Comfortable?" Mark laid down letting out a sigh "Yup...I'm not exactly tired either to be honest." Jack mumbled something to himself that Mark couldn't quite make out. Jack could feel himself wanting to give in to the urge he felt. The natural instinct and want to obey the call of the moon almost making him forget himself. Although it was always like this on a full moon. But he wasn't at home he was in another wolf's territory. Even if he could somehow get passed Mark without being asked any questions the wolves that already roamed around and lived in the territory would surely see him as nothing more than a threat to them.

As Mark laid next to his friend his gaze moved to Jack. Mark noticed everything around him fade as the sound of Jacks heartbeat seemed to get louder until it reached the point where that was all he could hear. Marks gaze locked onto Jacks neck as it pulsed softly, blood pumping around his body. Marks mouth began to water at the mere thought of what Jacks blood would taste like.

"MARK!" Jack yelled snapping Mark from his thoughts. Mark shook his head a little apologising "Sorry...I zoned out a little." Jack looked at his friend suspicion in his ocean blue eyes "Really?" Mark nodded with a half smile "Yeah...maybe I was a little more tired than I realised." Jack smirked slightly "Then go to sleep I won't stop you." Mark smiled back at his friend as he made a plan to get out with Jack knowing "Yeah okay then. Night Jack." Jack turned away from Mark and laid facing the wall. Little did Mark know he and Jack both planned to sneak out "Night Mark. See ya in the morning." Both let out a sigh and laid quietly waiting for the other to fall asleep.

2 Hours Later

Jack sat up slowly trying not to wake Mark. He looked to his left to see. Mark was gone? Jack looked around the room noticing the bathroom light on and the door left open slightly. Jack knew his chance was now. Mark would still be half asleep he wouldn't notice if Jack was missing and he would be back before sunrise.

Jack knew that going out was dangerous but he didn't have much of a choice. Staying in hear risked Jack exposing himself to Mark. Jack would stay away from anywhere that looked like it would play home to a wolf pack and keep himself to himself and then return home to the hotel room before Mark knew he'd left. Jack opened the doors to the balcony looking down. Thankfully they were only on the first floor. Jack took a deep breath summoning all of his courage before allowing himself to finally change to his wolf form leaping from the balcony and racing as fast as his paws would carry him to the woods.

Jack entered the woods but stayed close to the border. He knew what he was doing was dangerous and dumb even for him. But he could feel his lust for blood and natural instinct to be outside during the full moon overriding rational thought. Jack's ears pricked up as he heard leaves rustling. He looked around checking everywhere for signs of movement. His nose twitched as he smelt the air; a low growl rumbled from him as the scent filled him. Rabbit just what he needed.
