As told by, Uchiha Sasuke stood emotionlessly, and left the room in search of room 07. He couldn't hear anything as the made his way to his assigned room, light footsteps echoed the halls. Today was his day of assignment, day of meeting. Once becoming of age (17), you are assigned to your life partner by the SEK, or Society of Ever Knowledge.

Although his appearance showed no emotion, Sasuke could feel his pulse quicken the moment he turned the silver doorknob. No previous preparation could truly prepare the Raven for what he is about to do, this is only the beginning of his life. The beginning of his and his partner's life.

Emerald eyes looked up with curiosity and anticipation. Silk-like rose hair reached to her shoulders. A mint colored dress fit her body like a glove, perfectly adorned by a pink jewel necklace loosely hanging from her neck.

Nodding patiently, Sakura gazed into Uchiha Sasuke's abyss like eyes. She was to speak to him for only 4 minutes and 12 seconds now, slowly and surely running out of time with her soon to be life partner. What they spoke of was limited to simple chitchat, nothing too emotional- anything beyond weather talk was prohibited.

"I heard you were originally paired with Lee, any idea what happened?"

Silence.

"The council was mistaken."

"I see."

The Council ruled all. A group of elders made the laws of society, they knew everything and everyone and almost rarely made a mistake. If mistaken, the problem would be immediately fixed.

The pinkette's eyes became dull and void of emotion, she looked dead. She began to tremble slightly as she thought of the previous lover of her soon to be life partner. Memories began rushing in her, memories of a blond man.
