I woke up when Harry began to move around in the room. I watched as he began to pack a bag and immediately I sat up. He was worried and I saw at his whole body that he brooded over something.

"Are you going away?"

He stopped and he looked straight at me. He hesitated. He tried to smile, but the smile was fake.

"Gigi told me that we must get you away from here..."

I frowned.

"How do you mean?"

He put the bag down on the floor and then he stood at the end of the bed and stared at me.

"The less you know..."

I growled.

"Harry tell me what has happened or I'll stay here."

He took a deep breath and he show me only hesitation. He looked at me for a few extra seconds.

"Liam..."

I understood. I put my feet down on the floor.

"How many?"

He hesitated again.

"Many..." he answered shortly. "And you have to get out of here now, right away."

I nodded. I suspected that he had made the choice with the help from the others. I stood up and I was about to change my clothes when he slid up beside me and he hugged me gently.

"I'm sorry I didn't see it coming, but I didn't think it would happen that soon."

Even though I was a little scared, I chose to hug him and I smiled reassuring.

"It is okay." I got up. "Gigi is good at what she does and I guess she told you as quickly as she could."

He nodded and he kissed me softly.

"I've found a place where a car will take you. You get to travel alone, because it's safer. The fewer who know about where you are, the better."

I swallowed.

"Can't he find me, notice where I am?"

He smiled a little bit.

"We have blocked him." Harry whispered happily. "Gigi knew how to do so and she makes sure that you don't send out a single signal for a time. You will be safe."

....

I don't know what I would feel. I was alone and I noted quickly that I was really leaving my safe place. Although the forest along the road, felt scary and I looked at all the shadows that existed. The car drove fast along the road, and he as drove the car, was quiet. I sensed that he wasn't a vampire. Harry had just told him that he would be there, at the next place, long before the sun came up. No questions asked, in other words. I tried to stay calm, but the heart pounding fast, I was scared of what would happen to the others and I was afraid of losing my friends and Harry. Yet I sensed that this was the only choice I had.

---

I almost know where I was going. We came in on a street that felt familiar, yet not. I recognized some houses and I began to question where I was going. In the end, I realized one thing. I was back in my old town. I was back where it all began. I was surprised at the change and I was surprised that Harry's had chose this town. The car stopped outside a house, and immediately there came out an elderly man. I saw immediately that he was a vampire and he opened the door for me.

"Quick, into the house." he mumbled. I obeyed him, and I noted that he took the bag and helped me in. It was like in a dream because I felt a little absent. I tried to feel how Harry was, but they had blocked me.

He locked the door and then he smiled at me.

"It is an honor to have you here."

I swallowed.

"Okay?"

He laughed a little,

"My name is Sam and I belong to those who have been here a long time. Harry chose me because he knows I have all the security systems as there is in the house."

I opted to just listen. He showed me to a couch and I sat down. He seemed to care and he appeared to be an normal old man.

"I have walls as don't let anything through." he continued happily. "And my window resists Liam if he would come here. But he doesn't know who I am or where I live, because he has never met me."

I understood that he had much to tell. He sat down on the other side of the table, in another sofa and he looked at me as if I were a star or something.

"Therefore you are safe here." he continued happily. "I guess it will take time before they have solved the problem and in the meantime I'll take care of you."

I didn't like the last thing he said.

"You mean that it's only a problem?"

He laughed a little bit.

"No, maybe not," he managed to say. "But I'm sure that Harry gets the help he needs and I am sure that everything will be fine."

I hesitated.

"Can I contact him in any way?"

Sam shook his head and he leaned back on the sofa.

"And that's why you are here." he said kindly. "No one can look you up here, not even Gigi aren't aware of where you are and she's good at that."

I agreed with him.

"Yes, she seems able to find everyone?"

He nodded happily.

"And tell me if you need blood, books or whatever. I promise to resolve all the problems that come up."

I smiled gratefully at him.

"Thanks."

The bedroom was old. The bed wasn't exactly soft, but it wasn't time to complain. The small toilet was too small for my taste and I quickly realized how spoiled I had been. Once upon a time, I lived in a small apartment, and now I couldn't even put up with a small area. I chose to pick up my clothes and I hung them in the closet, which was minimal. I felt hopeless but I told myself that I would soon come home. As the sun began to go up, the windows was covered automatically with protection. I crawled into the bed and I tried to relax. Sam seemed to be awake a long time, and he walked around downstairs. I sensed that he made sure everything worked as it should. Slightest fault in his safety and Liam would find me.

----

I can't say I slept comfortably. I woke up and I was in pain throughout the body. I noted that I should stay in bed, but at the same time, I needed to move the legs. It was as if the bed didn't give me anything as was good, and I chose to leave the room. I would sneak down to the kitchen. Sam was asleep and I heard him snoring. It was as if all the sounds in the house reverberated around and I could finally not even hear my own thoughts. I slid into the sofa and I looked around. He had old things as certainly could come from the Middle Ages. Even the books in the bookcase had long since lost its luster. I slid down on the couch and I tried to think clearly. I was sure that Harry would soon come and get me, but it felt like I was living on hope. Maybe that Liam had gathered an army and perhaps that Harry couldn't defend himself? I frowned. No, I had to think positive.
