Chapter 7: Please...No

CALEB'S POV:

I was lifting weights when my sister, Scarlett, came into my room.

"A guy named Nathan's calling you" she said showing me my phone. Why does she have it you ask? Well I let her use it since mom don't let us get a phone till we are 13. Which is in a week for Scarlett. I am just an awesome brother like that.

"Put it on speaker" I say grabbing a towel and water bottle.

"OK" she said tapping the phone.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey Caleb. I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to kill you. Bye" Nathan said.

"Wait..." I said but it was too late he already hung up. I looked at Scarlett, her face screamed 'what is he talking about Caleb'.

"What did you do Caleb" she said with worried eyes.

"I don't know. The only thing I did today was get in a fight with Michael and..."

"Michael's back, and you got in a fight with him. Do you not remember what happened last time "she cutting me off?

"Please don't tell mom" I said.

"Don't tell mom? What are you talking about she almost died after she heard you were in the hospital and it doesn't help that it wasn't too long after dad died" she says.

"I know but I don't know what I did. And I am pretty sure Nathan isn't as bad as Michael" I say.

"Alright. But if you get even slightly hurt don't think I won't tell mom" she says flipping her blonde hair and walking out of the room. Sassy much.

I went to my bathroom and went in the shower after I got out I put on some sweat pants and grabbed my phone. I had one message.

Chad: Nathan's pissed at you.

Great. Just great. What the hell did I even do? I called chad.

"Hello" he answered almost immediately.

"Hey chad. What the hell did I do to get Nathan pissed. Thanks to him Scarlett knows Michael is back and another person wants me dead" I said.

"Well I'm with him now. He keeps saying that he chooses you. What the hell does that mean" he said.

"Gee I don't know chad maybe he WANTS ME DEAD!" I yell the last part. "I don't understand any of this. The last thing that happened between us was after the fight. He was going to take Brianna...ohm. Shit. Chad please tell me that Brianna is awake" I said. I think I know why he wants me dead. It all makes sense now. He doesn't want to lose Brianna.

"Umm. I don't know let me check" he says.

"Put the phone on speaker I want to hear this myself" I say

"OK it's on" chad says. "Hey Michael I forgot to ask why is Nathan going crazy"

"Three weeks ago Nathan's mom was murdered in front of him, and his and Brianna's relationship is... I don't know how to explain it. When I first met Brianna I thought she was Nathan's girlfriend, but as I got to know them I realized that they were only like that because of all the shit they have gone through" Michael says.

"So what does that have to do with any of this" chad asks Michael.

"Brianna isn't breathing right. She is either in a coma or on the verge of dying, and to Nathan it's like losing a twin" Michael says.

"Dammit Caleb why did you have to punch her" I say causing Michael to hear.

"Caleb was listening the entire time" Michael asks.

"Yeah why?" chad answered.

"Where's Nathan" Michael asked.

"Last I saw him he was saying how he chose Caleb" chad says as I heard a knock at my front door.

"Guys I'll be right back, someone's at the door" I say.

"Caleb, I know were not on a good foot but I wouldn't answer that door if I were you. Nathan's not here" Michael says.

"How would he even know where I live" I say.

"Oh he tends to find what he wants when he wants it, it's very weird" Michael says.

"CALEB HELP!" I hear my sister scream.

"I'll be right back" I say for the second time but this time I put my phone down and walk out of my room. "Coming Scarlett"

As I walk into the living room my mouth instantly drops open. The last person I expected to see was standing in my living room with a gun held up to Scarlett's head. Anger builds up inside me.

"Get your hands the hell off my sister Nathan" I yell.

"I don't think I will. I mean you took something I love so why don't I take something you love" Nathan said.

"Brianna is not dead yet. You don't have to do this" I say stepping a bit closer to them with my hands motioning for Nathan to calm down. "Just give me my sister back"

"no. don't step any closer I will shoot her" he says pointing the gun closer to Scarlett.

"Please... don't do this" I cried.

After a long awkward silence the door swings open. God I hope it's not mom.

"Nathan put the gun down and give Caleb his sister back" a voice says. I turn around to see Michael.

"where's chad and Brianna" I asked.

"I think at the hospital" Michael says. "Come on Nate, you're not like this. Think what Brianna would do. I know there is no way in hell she would try to kill someone. Hand over the girl"

After a couple more minutes of that going back and forth, Nathan finally put the gun down and pushed Scarlett to me. Let's just say I have never hugged her so tight. I was glad she wasn't dead mom would die if she lost her daughter due to someone killing her.

Nathan had left. I guess to go check with Brianna and chad at the hospital. We talked to chad and he did bring her to the hospital but they haven't said anything yet. Michael on the other hand was still here.

"Thank you Michael, you saved my ass" I say

"Your welcome" he said

"You definitely changed" I said.

"It's the secret of life. People change people. Thanks to Brianna I am a different person that's why I changed my name to Dylan, but when I heard you were going to the same school as Brianna a little bit of Michael might have escaped. Right now Michael is dead, I would like if called me Dylan from now on" he said.

"I'll try, it might be hard" I say.

"No problem" he said.

"So want to head to the hospital and check on Brianna" I asked him.

"Yeah" he answered

"I think we will finally become friends again" I say to him.

"Yeah, me too "he said.

"Now off to the hospital" I say in a heroic voice, I couldn't help but laugh and so did Michael. I mean Dylan.

hey guys i'm on my last day of school i have a bunch of things to take care of so i don't know when i will update i have to figure out a schedule for the summer.
