Chapter 4

Quickly she grasped the wall tighter. The top portion was made of wood as her fingers became pierced with splinters. The grasp tightened as the strong man began tugging it down.

"Get down before you get hurt cupcake!"

She struggled as her leg escaped his grasp. She extended it as it broke his nose in one swift movement. His head fell back as he held his nose cursing under his breath. The other guard flung his body forward, attempting to get her. She quickly avoided his grasp when she overshot it. 

She flew off the side of the wall letting out a small cry of terror. Maylon's body crunched, and she hurt all over, but she needed to go. 

She barely could carry her own frail body, but she crawled leading with her hands, and dragging her feet through mud and gravel behind. Her jeans caught on a sharp branch stabbing her thigh and stopping her from crawling.

"You have got to be kidding me!" Her hands took the cloth and pulled as hard as they could in her condition. The pant leg ripped loudly, when Maylon stood up with her mud covered legs shaking in pain.

Her hand pulled out the blood covered stick throwing it to the ground furiously. She turned over her shoulder when the main gate opened with guards running out with flashlights. The yellow glow of the flashlights made her body visible. Filled with fear, She began running faster as tears streamed down her face in utter pain. Maylon's emerald eyes were set on the forest in front of her as she continued to run with a limp. 

She smiled as she gained a pretty good lead. She entered the forest turning around for a brief second to see the men still following, but not far away.

 She turned around in relief when it was too late. She let out a sudden scream as her fate became apparent.
