" But if you will see, my love is forbidden."
I watched her gasp and place a hand to her chest.
" How so?" she asked with such concern that I had to fight off a smile. Humans and their emotions- such wasted energy. "It's quite simple, really. He and I? We were made to kill one another. Enemies, if you wish to call it. He is an assassin, a trained killer, a demon."
She closed her eyes as if she understood. "And I," I continued, "am an angel. A swift killer made to wipe out all the evil in this damn place you call home. And us...?" I faded away. To the memories. Of the touched, of the kisses, of the long nights, of the love.. "And you?" She asked, snapping me back to the present. I sighed. "Us? We have fallen in love. I have fallen in love with the one I was destined to kill. The one made to kill me. We are not allowed to love one another." I paused for a dramatic effect. I spoke quietly. "But he and I? We simply say fuck the rules. We love one another, And that is how it shall be.
For now, for the future, and for eternity." I felt a smile spread across my face as I breathed the final word. "Forever."
