Chapter Two

------------------
After a good hour, I made it to my house with my family home, thank the Gods for that. I was now pacing in my room, going over tonights events.
- I got suspended.
- Ally and I went to a party.
- Turns out my best friend that I've known for my entire existence is a wolf.
- Someone has a lot of explaining to do because I'm completely confused and I feel like I need to go to the nut house.
- Ally still isn't here.
- That black wolf, I just had a weird feeling about him. At least, that's what I feel like it's a him. It can't be a girl, there's no way. Or even a real wolf. He must be what Ally is, er, or Ally is what he is.
There was a knock on my door, bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Marci, we're having a family meeting.. with Allys' family as well. Please come down stairs." My mom said, with sorrow in her eyes and regret in her tone.
I nodded, and slowly followed her down the stairs, where Allys' parents and Ally herself sat on the couch. I quickly went up to Ally and embraced her in a hug, thankful she was okay.
"I'm so happy you are okay!" I said in between sniffles.
Ally patted my back and giggled. "Sit, we have a lot of explaining to do, Marci." Ally frowned at her words, and I sat beside her on the love seat and my father was the one to break the silence as my mom and Allys' parents sat there on the seats, uncomfortable. Thank goodness Charlie was upstairs sleeping and not witnessing this.
"Marci, try to be open minded here, okay? What I'm about to say is a lot to take in, but we have no other choice but to tell you the truth since you have seen Ally as her wolf." My father slowly spoke, testing the words out himself.
I sighed, and nodded for him to continue. I still had so many questions to ask Ally, and it was nearly killing me.
"Ally and her family are werewolves. We are, as well. Our small town is surrounded by the biggest and strongest, and most definitely most feared pack in America, Black Wound. And, a pack is a group of werewolves who trust one another and rely on each other. They also live in deep areas of forests, far away from civilization and own pack houses.
Every pack has a leader, we call our leader the 'Alpha'. They are the strongest, and most respected rank of wolf out there. We aren't in a pack though, we're all rogues. Most of the time werewolves are rogues, and yes most of the town are werewolves."
My dad finally stopped speaking, taking deep breaths and sitting back down rubbing his temples as if he had a headache. My mother soothed him, rubbing his back and touching him.
I crinkled my nose a bit, not knowing what to do. I turned to Ally who scurried away from me as quickly as possible.
"You! I thought we were best friends! You've lied to me for sixteen years! Why is everyone lying to me? What have I ever done to you guys?" I shouted out, crying unconditionally and huddling back on the couch. I felt so confused, so lost. I thought werewolves were supernatural, they didn't exist. Just something people can have fun with. And now I find out my family, and my best friend is werewolves?
"Marci, darling, Ally had a reason to keep away the truth.." My mom said slowly, looking at me.
I stared at her, waiting for an answer until I snapped.
