New Friend

You were very hardworking and you had just gotten into a very good university at London. You were very excited to explore the place and start the new chapter of your life.

You packed your stuff, said your goodbyes and got into your flight.
This was the very first time you were going to be away from home and all by yourself. You were a little scared but that feeling went away as soon as you reached the airport. You got into the cab and reached the university.
Your eyes refused to blink at the sight of the campus. It was huge and amazing. You entered into your room and kept your luggage and went out to see more of the campus. Everything was so exciting. You were happy.

No matter how happy you were, you had already started missing home and your friends. You were sitting on a bench, late at night, looking at the stars. You were lost in your thoughts when suddenly a guy came and sat next to you. You looked at him and said, "Hey I've seen you somewhere"

"But I'm seeing you for the first time" , he replied.

You looked away thinking harder.

"Right! You're that guy from YouTube who sings!"

"Oh! You've seen my videos?"

"Yes. And I love them! Your voice is awesome!"

"Hahaha! Thanks! I'm glad you love it!"

"Btw I'm (Y/N)"

"Justin" you shook hands.

"I know. Anyways, what are you doing here so late at night?"

"What are you doing here?"

"Fair enough"

There was silence.

You both were lost in your thoughts.

"Hey can I take a selfie with you? My friends will be so jealous! They all love you"

"Hahaha! Sure!"

You took a selfie with him and posted the pic on social media.

"So are you liking it here?", Justin asked.

"Yeah. I mean, I've not seen much of it but I'm loving the place"

"Yeah. It's pretty amazing!"

"How long have you stayed here?"

"About 2 years"

"Nice! So you know places!"

"I do!"

"What's the best place to eat? What is London's speciality?"

"There is one! But I won't tell you"

"Why?"

"I'll take you there sometime."

"Haha okay"

"And what about other places?"

"What other places?"

"Those places which are not mentioned anywhere on the internet. The places only a local person can know"

"You mean like a hiding place? To get away from people and emotions?"

"Exactly"

"Hmm! I'm never telling you that"

"Oh! So are you going to take me there too?" , you asked laughingly.

"Hahaha! Never! Go find your own!" , Justin replied

"Oh well! Give me some time and then see me not answer that question"

"Hahaha! You're funny"

Justin looked into your eyes and you both felt a connection. You broke the eye contact and looked at your watch.

"Anyways, I better head back. It's late and I have lectures to attend tomorrow" , you said.

"Same here."

"Good night" , you said as you got up and started walking.
"Please stop me", you thought to yourself.

"Please don't go" , Justin thought to himself.
"Hey! See you tomorrow!" , Justin said

"You too!" , you said as you smiled and walked away.

"Interesting!" , Justin thought to himself.

You got a text from your friend asking you all about the campus and people.
"Well I made a new friend today", you replied.

"And?"

"I think things are about to get interesting!"
