While whistling one of her favorite songs Stacey stood in the kitchen and put out all the incredients to bake chocolate chip cookies. She had felt like baking since a few days now and she thought today would be the perfect day to do so. Her boyfriend Matthew would be back from work in about an hour and he had been a bit upset all week. Of course he was, it had been the last week Shemar would be a part of the team, filming his last scenes as Derek Morgan. And tomorrow, tomorrow would be Shemar's last day and Matthew couldn't imagine the team without his best friend yet. So he had been lying in bed every night, talking to Stacey about how much he'd going to miss him and how strange it'd be without him. She'd snuggled up to him everytime and had told him that it won't be a goodbye, that he'd see Shemar more often than he thought now. And he'd smiled and said that she must be right.

Stacey planned to bake these cookies together with Matthew to cheer him up a bit. He would not be allowed to refuse; she'd actually force him. She didn't want him to stay sad about Shemar's departure. Baking always cheered her up and she hoped it would make him feel better as well. Just when she put the last incredient out of the cupboard, she heard the front door open. "Honey, are you home?"

"In the kitchen!" Stacey shouted and seconds later she felt two long arms wrapping around her waist. "Hi." Matthew whispered as he placed a kiss on her neck. Stacey sighed. Sometimes, when he was having a hard time, he became all cuddly and clingy. But she didn't mind that. There were days and weeks and yes, even months they both didn't see each other often because of Matthew's work. She enjoyed his company whenever she had the chance to. "What are you doing?" He asked after he'd placed his chin on Stacey's shoulder and glanced at all the incredients in front of her.

"I wanted to bake cookies. Will you help me?" She turned her head to see his face. He bit his lip and seemed to think about it for a few seconds. Then he nodded. "If you can wait for some more minutes, I'll go take a shower first and then I'd love to help you."

"Okay, hurry up." Stacey gave him a quick kiss and he let go of her to go to one of the two bathrooms in the house. While Matthew was taking a shower Stacey already started to put out the bowls and the mixer and placed them next to the incredients. Oh, she wanted to bake tons of cookies and a smile appeared on her face when she thought about the next hour spent with Matthew. This was going to be fun.

"Alright, I'm ready." With his hair still a bit wet and messy, Matthew stepped back into the kitchen. Stacey could smell his shampoo when he wrapped his arms around her once again. She leaned her head back and nuzzled her nose at his neck. "Hmmm you smell good." He chuckled at her words. "Thanks, honey. What kind of cookies do you want to bake? And...for what by the way?" His hazel eyes examined her. "I thought about chocolate chip cookies and I wanted to bake them for the crew of Criminal Minds. What do you think? I...I thought it would be nice since tomorrow will be Shemar's last day on the set and..." Stacey shrugged, suddenly insecure about her idea. But Matthew's smile grew and he placed a gentle kiss on her lips. "You're wonderful." He whispered and she beamed at him before she turned around again to finally start making the dough.

"Hey, don't nibble!" Stacey stroke Matthew's hand who had sneaked into the bowl to put out some dough for the fifth time now. But her boyfriend just laughed. "Come on, we made so much dough, there'll going to be hundred cookies!" He tried to explain. "Well, there's many people on the set!" She replied while she put a spoon full of dough onto a baking tray. It was the fourth tray they were filling to put in the oven and there was still lots of dough. Well...maybe Stacey actually made a bit too much. But she didn't want to admit that. Without her noticing Matthew had grabbed some dough again and when she turned around to put her spoon into the bowl, he smeared it on her nose. A surprised squeal left Stacey's lips what made Matthew laugh even harder. "Oh, you sneaky..." She started, but didn't even get to finish her sentence because Matthew just leaned over and licked the dough from her nose.

Now Stacey couldn't help but laugh as well. "You are distracting me, Mister." She mumbled as she looked into his brown, sparkling eyes. Sometimes Matthew got all playful and she loved when he was that way. "I like distracting you." He whispered into her ear before he placed a kiss right behind it. Stacey giggled. "You promised me to help baking those cookies." She said and turned around to face him. She wrapped her arms around his neck. "If you help me finish baking them, we could have some other fun later." She teased him. "Oh, that sounds tempting." He chuckled. "Okay, let's get that dough on the baking tray." They both laughed and there were no more distractions until the cookies were finished. And they smelled awesome. The whole kitchen including the living room was filled with the smell of them and once again Stacey realized that there was almost nothing better than the smell of freshly baked cookies. "The crew will love your cookies." Matthew said as she snuggled up to him on the couch. She let out a sigh. "I hope so."

"Of course! Your chocolate chip cookies are the best and you know how many times Shemar and Kirsten have asked me when I'd bring some of your cookies with me to set." He chuckled while saying the last few words and Stacey joined him. "Well then." She smirked. And then she leaned over to kiss Matthew. "Oh, is this going to be the other fun thing?" He murmured into the kiss. She just nodded while she placed herself on his lap. "I promised you more fun after baking cookies."

"Stacey come on, we're late!" Matthew's voice sounded impatient and she couldn't help but roll her eyes at it. He was always in a hurry in the morning when he had to leave for work. Last night he had asked her to join him on his way to the set and maybe spend some hours there. She had agreed since she didn't have to work anyway today and yes, she admitted that she have had a quite hard time to get up at 5:30am and now was a little late. "Keep calm, I'm here." She said as she walked towards the front door, where Matthew was already standing, impatiently stepping from one foot to the other. He reached her the three boxes full of cookies so he could drive as soon as they both sat in the car.

Half an hour later Matthew parked the car and they got out of it again. Holding hands, they walked towards the buffet where most of the actors were to get some coffee or croissants. "Oh, look who's here!" Kirsten had seen them first and now hurried towards to. "Stacey! What a surprise! We haven't seen each other in like weeks!" She shouted as she pulled the young woman into a hug. Stacey chuckled. "I missed you too, Kirsten." She said and patted her back. "What are you doing here?" She asked now. "I bring some cookies." Stacey smiled and grabbed the boxes from Matthew's hands. "Oooooh!" Kirsten squealed. "What's going on here?" Shemar had spotted them and came closer. "Hey baby girl, nice to see you!"

"She's bringing cookies!" Kirsten burst out. "Oh, is there any special occasion?" He looked from Matthew to Stacey and then back to Matthew. Stacey shrugged. "Well, it's your last day here and...I felt like baking cookies yesterday. Matthew helped." She explained. "This is really nice and adorable from you." Shemar smiled and wrapped his arms around her to pull her into a tight hug. "You're welcome." She said and kissed his cheek. She would miss him a lot but she couldn't say it now. She knew his colleagues would miss him even more. "I hope you guys will like them." Stacey said after Shemar had given her free. "We will love them, sweetheart." Joe, A.J., Aisha and Thomas had joined them without Stacey even noticing. Everyone hugged her to say hi and although she was on the Criminal Minds set for only the fourth or fifth time since she and Matthew were a couple she immediately felt welcome and comfortable here.

"First scene in five minutes!" They heard the producer's voice. "Shit, I'm in the first scene!" Shemar winced. He grabbed one of the cookies before hurrying away to get ready. "Stacey, the cookies are amazing!" He shouted while chewing. She laughed and turned to Matthew. "Do you still have a bit time or do you have to get ready for your scenes?" She asked and he shook his head. "Do you want to watch them shooting the scenes?" Of course she did! She loved watching that and she nodded. "Okay, come on." Matthew put the boxes with the cookies on the buffet and grabbed Stacey's hand to lead her to a spot where they could watch and not disturb the actors or other crew members. "Thanks for coming with me today. This means a lot." He whispered into her ear while pulling her into his arms and Stacey just smiled.
