Rita POV
2 weeks later
I wanted to forgive Chris so bad. I wanted to lay in his arms and cry in his chest. But I wasn't going to go through this again.
I can't do this alone. I really can't. It was something that I needed someone to talk to. I could talk to someone but, I really wanted to talk to Chris.
My phone started ringing. I didn't know where it was. I started throwing my clothes around the room until I found my phone near the closet. I picked it up and looked at the called id. It was Nia. I sighed and answered it.
"Hello?"
"Bitch, why aren't you home?" she asked.
"Oh, I'm home alright." I mumbled.
"You not here. Chris said you weren't here. Where you at?"
"I'm at my apartment."
"You're where? What he do?" she asked.
"Nothing." I lied.
"Mmm. Whatever. I'm coming by with Ro and Zillah. You want something to eat? I'm stopping by Panera Bread."
"Uh, sure." I said.
"What you want?" she asked.
"Uh, can I have a salad?"
"Bitch I said Panera Bread. Not Royal Farms. You know what, I'll get a turkey wrap. As long as you open up to me when I come over."
"Whatever Nia.""Exciting." she said. "Alright see you in a few." we hung up and then I walked in my living room. There was clothes everywhere. I sighed and rubbed my temples.I picked them up and then felt like I had to throw up. I ran to the bathroom and threw up. I sat there hovered over the toilet for a couple of minutes. Then flushed the toilet and cleaned myself up.
After I was finished I went back into the living room and put the clothes that were on the floor, in a basket. I carried that basket to my room and then put the clothes that were on the floor and on my bed, in the basket as well. I need to find the energy to go wash these clothes one day. I'm running low on clothes.
After I put the last shirt in the basket, I walked back into the living room and picked up the magazines that were on the floor. I put them on the coffee table and then wiped up the liquid that was on the floor. I'm pretty sure it was whiskey.
I walked into the kitchen and started washing the dishes in the sink that have been there for a while. I sighed and turned on my radio to try and make this less boring than it already was.
As soon as I put it on, Chris's new song came on. I sighed and tried to ignore it the best I can. But some of the lyrics really caught my attention.
Sick of leaving messages on your cell
But you never fuck with none of them
Yeah you have somebody who really cares
How you work it up, it is unfair.
I rolled my eyes and sighed. I mean, Chris can act like he's childish. I can do it too.
I kept washing the dishes and then someone knocked on my door. I sighed and looked around. My apartment still wasn't clean. I still needed to clean the stove. I also needed to mop the floor. The floor was really sticky and nasty. I sighed and rinsed my hands off and dried them and opened the door.
Nia stood there with bags and Zillah and Royalty. They smiled at me.
"Hey love." Nia said. I backed up and let them in. Zillah and Royalty walked in first. They looked around.
