Chris POV

I was washing off the fruits so I can start making the fruit salad for the kids when Rita hopped up on the counter. I looked over at her. She smiled.

"What's on your mind Pocahontas?"

"Wait..  I thought I was Sacajawea?" she asked. I looked up at the ceiling.

"Yeah. You're right. I call the girl Pocahontas cuz of their hair. So what's up Saca?"

"So, I've been thinking about our sitch." I looked over at her.

"Uh, what?"

"Our situation. Ya know. We were supposed to get married a while ago but we never did because we felt like it was too early and we didn't want to get married. I want to get married now." I looked down at the the fruit.

"I don't know Rita." I said.

"Come on baby. It'll be fun. I promise."

"You don't know that."

"Look, everything will be the same."

"Then why would we be getting married?" I asked.

"To make everything official. It's like being verified on Twitter or Instagram. It let's everyone know it's real."
"But, don't they know that already." I said.

"What is it? You don't want to be married Chris. That you don't want to be with me anymore? IS that it?" I turned the water off the water and looked at Rita and grabbed her hands.

"Rita, you are the one I want to spend my life with."
"Then why won't you marry me? For real this time?" she asked as a tear slid down her cheek.

"Rita," I sighed and looked into her dark brown eyes. "I never said I didn't want to marry you. I just said not right now."

"What are we waiting for? Huh? Are we waiting for Frank Ocean to drop his album? Or maybe we're waiting until Tupac comes out of hiding? Chris, we've been together for 7 long God damned years. I don't want to be married the day I die."

"I never said you would be."

"Then please tell me what you're waiting for." she said. I looked down and shook my head.

"I need to get a divorce first." I said.

"What?"

"I'm married Rita."
"To who?"

"You're not going to like it."I said.

"I said to who?"

"To_"

"Daddy!" The girls said running into the kitchen is the fruit salad almost ready?" Kayla asked sitting on the stool.

"Not yet Killa Kay." I said. I kissed her cheek and she smiled.
