Rita POV

Chris tried to maneuver the wheelchair to the car. But he wasn't that successful. I sighed.

"Sorry baby. I'm trying."

"I know. It's just that I'm really tired." I admitted. I was really tired lately. Ever since the accident, I've been extremely tired. Chris been upset because I hate being up late but you know, if you wanna sleep, ya gonna sleep.

"Alright. Let's get you home." he said rolling up to the car. He helped me up into the car. Kayla was sleep. Little Chris was watching us. The nurse took the wheelchair from Chris. They exchanged some words and then Chris got in the car. He looked at me.

"Ready for home?"

"I've been waiting forever now." I snapped. He nodded and looked at the road.

"You hungry?"

"No. I'm tired."

"Alright. You hungry Chris?" he asked looking in the mirror. I guess Chris nodded. But whatever he did, Chris clapped his hands and scared Kayla and smiled. "Then let's eat baby." he pulled out of the hospitals parking garage and drove to the nearest Burger King. I looked at Chris.

"You sure you not hungry?"

"Yes."

"Alright." He looked in the rear view mirror. "What y'all want?" Chris asked the kids.

"Food." Little Chris said. Chris turned around and looked at him.

"You have 4 seconds to say what you want or ya not eating." he told Chris.

"I want a Rodeo Chicken Burger." he said quickly. I smirked to myself and looked out the window. Chris pulled up to the mic and started ordering the food. When the person asked if that was all, Chris looked over to me.

"Nah, can I get that Chicken sandwich meal. No pickles. A fruit punch for the soda." I rolled my eyes. Then Chris pulled up to the window and handed the cashier the money. The cashier handed Chris some change back. Then Chris pulled up to the next window.
"I bought you food." He said to me.
"OK.." I looked over at him.
"So... Your welcome." I shook my head and smiled. "I love you, Rita."
"What?" I said giggling.
"Stop playing games."
"I'm not doing anything." I said.
"Look, we gotta talk. When we get home."
"Daddy, talk to Mommy in the car." Chris said. Chris turned and looked at him.
"Nigga, go to sleep." Chris told little Chris.
"I'm just saying. Grandma said don't go to bed mad."
"Nigga ain't no one mad. And why you listening to Grandma?"
"Am I not supposed to listen to Grandma?"
"Nigga too smart for his own good." Chris said taking the food from the man in the window.
I looked at little Chris. "Mommy you have a bruise."
"I know baby."
"Is it going to go away?"
"I sure hope so." I said looking at big Chris. He looked at me and sighed.
"Come on let's go home. Ro Chan coming over." Chris said.
"Royalty!" Kayla said. Chris and I looked at her.
"Weren't you asleep?"
"No."
"Whatever."

Once we were home, Nia was sitting on the steps waiting for us. Royalty looked at all of us and ran to Kayla.
"Sister I was so worried about you. Are you OK?"
"Yeah." They hugged. Royalty looked at Kayla like she was her lost child. She looked her over to check to see if she had any scratches. Then Royalty looked at us.
"I'm going to hurt this lady that hurt my sister. Where is she?"
"One, we don't know. Two, she hurt Rita. Aren't you concerned about her?" Nia asked.
Ro looked over at me. "My gosh. Mommy! I'm going to commit murder. This lady hurt Rita really bad. That isn't fair."
"I know. So many people wanna hurt her. But we got to let the law get to them." I told her.
Ro made a stank face and blew put some air.
"Chiiiiiillllldddd. The police better get her quick. That looks like it'll be a nasty scar." Royalty said pointing to the one on top of my head.
"Come on." Chris said laughing. "Let's go inside so we can eat." We all walked inside and saw people sitting on the couch. They all looked up at us and smiled. I looked at Chris and the kids ready to run.
