CHAPTER 11

Two hours later.....

Sungjae P.O.V

"I'm back... here's your books. Why did you read all these thick books huh? You're really an earthworm." I said as I pass one of the book to her. She just crossed her arms when she heard me saying so.

Yeah... I went all the way to the orphanage to grab her things. I'd been asked a lot by an ahjumma who took care of the house. She even asked me if I'm Nara's boyfriend. Haha....guess what, I quickly answer her with a nodded. The ahjumma look shocked but soon she just advised me to take a good care of Nara and always make her happy. This is just a secret between us okay everyone. Don't tell noona about it..*wink.

"Earthworm?? Seriously Yook Sungjae??" she asked in total disbelieved, after a few seconds had passed.

"Yup....earthworm are blind. But they did great in helping farmers to fertilise the plantation so that delicious vegetables can be harvested throughout the year. Just like you...although you can't see, but you did a good job as an older girl in the orphanage. The ahjumma said you always help all the little kids around with their problems and homework. By doing so, you're helping them heading towards a bright future. Good job, noona!!" I said sincerely. I learn a lot of things about noona during the short visit to the warmth house just now.

"What else did she tell you??" she start to become curious.

"She told me that you always wet your bed in the midnight..."

"WHAT!!!" her pale skin reddened. Ayiiee.....so cute.

"Want to hear more??"

"Why did she tell you about my dark history. This is so embarrassing!!!" she said as she hide her fully blushed face in her hands.

"Because I tell her that I like you." WTH!! I didn't say that. It slipped out of my mouth on its own.

She eventually stop squirming and try to sit straight. "Ouch..." she whined.

"NOONA!! How much time should I tell you to stop moving. Haist..... remember that you don't have to move even a muscle in this room. Whether I'm around or not....just stay still. Just call the nurse for help if you need anything, got it?" I said sternly. I'm worried whenever she starts groaning in pain. Because part of the reason she suffered from this is because of me.

"Hmm... okay I got it. By the way, back to our main topic....I'm scared of slimy animals Sungjae, so I preferred you to call me bookworm instead of earthworm."

"HAHAHHAHAHA......YOU'RE AN EARTHWORM!!!" I said, earning a pout from her. She starts to move her attention to the book on her hand. I try to read the title, but I can't understand anything. All I could see is a series of dots which form some shapes.

"Noona....what's the story is all about. I can't understand anything..." I said as I moved closer to her.

"You hate books right....why did you bother to know?" she said, pissed off.

"Hmmm...noona...teach me how to read Braille, please...." I whined and sit beside her on the bed.

"Are you sure?? Once I start, it's too late for you to stop, get it?" I just nodded. "Answer me Sungjae!!" she added.

"Yes teacher..."

So, the cold teacher starts teaching her student the letters of braille system. They did not realise that time had passed by real quick. It's been three hours since their class started. The sun is slowly disappearing and Mr. Moon is ready to replace it spot high in the sky. And... it's time for Sungjae to head back home. He need to prepare himself for tomorrow.

"That's all about braille.... You can go home now, student!" she said cheerfully, unlike the way she react when we first started the lesson. "You're a good listener. And you are actually a fast learner too. I'm proud of you, Sungjae." She added and put the book away.

"I just hate books... "I said. I think she had misunderstand this fact. Although I dislike reading, it's not my intention to brag but I'm one of the top student in my school a long time ago. Since I'd decided to focus on music, I stopped attending that school. Hmmm....should I tell her about this?

"So, from today's onward...I want you to promise me that you will read at least a book every month." What!!! No... I don't want to...

"Sungjae, pinky promise..." she said and rise her pinky promise finger in front of me. I have no other choice but to make a deal with her. Ahhh...I'm really going crazy!!

"Noona...I have to go home now..." I softly uttered.

"Okay...see you tomo--- I mean next time."

"I'll try to visit you this weekend. Don't miss me too much, okay??"

"Tsk...it's more comfortable around with you....err, sorry. I mean without you." She started to panic by her own words. I can't help but to smile seeing this side of her.

"I'll get going now... bye noona..." I stand up from her bed and watch her facial expression. She looks sad, but she knows well how to cover her feelings. She gives me the sweetest smile she has. I walked away with heavy footsteps. I don't know when will I meet her again. But for sure...I'll be back with good news.

Three weeks had passed since that day. I missed her so much. I wanted to spend my time with her and tell her how tiring my days were. But I'm not allowed to skip the practice. We will start recording for our debut album soon. With all the programmes our company had set for us and the hectic schedules, there's no way I could step out of it. Oopps... I forget to tell you this. I'm now an idol... a real idol in Cube Entertainment. My dream had come true. I'm the maknae and the vocalist of a five member boy band, THE BEAT. Today again... we have no rooms to rest. We have to work hard from the start if we want to follow our senior's footstep.

While we are waiting for our vocal teacher to arrive, Eunkwang run in the speed of lightning into our practice room and nearly bump into the big mirror due to his momentum.

"You can grab some rest today boys....it's our free day after working so hard these few weeks. Hope you enjoy the short break. And make sure you come back to our dorm before dinner time. Our manager will treat us meat tonight!!" announce THE BEAT leader, Seo Eunkwang.

"Yyeaaahhh!!! I can sleep finally!! How I miss my evening nap..." exclaimed Changsub.

"I want to sleep too... let's head home now, hyung..." suggest Ilhoon earning a yawn from Changsub.

"Don't leave me here chagiya....bring me home too!!" said Eunkwang as he sit in between Changsub and Ilhoon. The situation become awkward for a moment because of the word 'chagiya' that slipped out of Eunkwang mouth.

"Oh yeah!! Finally...I can relax my mind..." said Peniel as he look at me and break the wall of silentness that their leader had created. "Sungjae-ah, snooker????"

"Hmm... I don't think so, hyung. I need to head somewhere. See you tonight hyung-deul. Enjoy your day..." I said and rushed out of the room. I can feel their eyed glued on me when I left, but none of them really said anything.

Huh, I don't care about the boys now. I feel like shouting in happiness!! I can meet her today. What should I buy for her as a gift? Does she like flowers? Or a big cute teddy bear? Hmm.... a bracelet??

What should I get for her??!

I'm in trouble.
