My mother drops her drink, the plastic hitting the floor and water goes everywhere.
"Marley!" My mom is gasping, as if she's so shocked she can barley breathe. "is this some sort of sick joke?" She says, and tears brim my eyes.
"What? No!" I say, and i feel painful waves of sorrow hit me. "it's not like I meant to get pregnant! The condom broke!" I almost shout. My mom and step dad are taken back.
"Marley, calm down." Michael says, placing his arm around me.
"Don't touch her!" My mom says, standing. She grabs me and pulls me into her arms. I push her away slightly, and she stares at me with concern.
"Mom! Michael and I are in this together. Don't treat him any different than you did before you knew." I scowl, taking his hand. My step father and her continue to stare at me.
"Marley, what are you go-" Mom begins to say, but there is a knock at the door, Sophie hops up to answer.
"Pizza." She whispers, and Michael goes to pay for the pizza. There's silence in the room.
This is just....awesome.
