Ariel stood outside the door. She knew that Lucifer, The Devil himself, was only being held back by a two inch slab of wood. She quickly went through all the worst case scenarios, all of them ended with her dying. Taking one final breath, she slid the master key, which she swiped from the janitor, into the access scanner. The light glowed green , and she turned the knob, hesitating for a second before stepping into the room.
She could hear the shower going. He must've been in there, which was quite strange. At least, she fingured it was. Did they have showers in Hell? Maybe she'd ask.
She sat quietly on the bed opposite his.
After a long wait, he stepped out of the bathroom. Steam seemed to endlessly escape from it. Perhaps he was trying to recreate the heat of his home. His, or rather, Liam's, body was very red, near blistering, but it started to fade back to normal. Probably one of the perks of being Satan.
"Ah. It's the Mouse." He taunted.
Ariel completely ignored the comment, as she was too busy fangirling over him. She looked his body up and down, unfortunately he had a towel wrapped around his waist, which gave her a bit of a buzz kill. Sure she was a bit perverted. Who wasn't nowadays?
"Isn't showering a bit... Human?" She mocked.
"The water provides heat. Not a lot, but good enough. Honestly I don't know why I'm even revealing this to you. You're a peasant."
"And you're a dick. Moving on."
"What do you want?" He groaned, dropping the towel to the floor as he searched for some clothes. Ariel quickly brought her hand up to her eyes.
"Give a little warning next time, geez."
"Because I'm so certain you are complaining. If I'm not mistaken, this is what most Mortals would find... Attractive, no?"
"Shut up and get some clothes on." she retorted, her face red.
After a few minutes she took her hand away. He did have pants on, so she wasn't as red faced. He grabbed a white dress shirt from the dresser and slipped it on. Upon finishing buttoning it, he and Ariel could both see that he had buttoned it wrong. She laughed.
"We don't wear these clothes in Hell." He growled.
"Whatever." She laughed, standing up and walking over to him. She started undoing the buttons. The Devil let his arms rest at his sides and he tilted his chin up a bit. Ariel undid the last button and realigned his shirt, starting at the bottom and redoing all the buttons. She left the top one undone and popped his collar up. She grabbed a blue tie from the desk and handed it to him.
"You can do the rest."
"It took me a long time just to take this thing off, how will I be able to put it back on?"
"Magic?"
He looked at her in annoyance, a typical look she received from him.
She sighed and took the tie from him, placing it around his neck and bringing the collar back down. Lucifer took this time to examine her. She was wearing a bright green camisole and the black sweatshirt that she had been wearing the day after they met. And the day they had met. She was also wearing dark skinny jeans and bright red Converse. They seemed to be quite a popular shoe. Her sweatshirt, he thought, was quite boring. It only had a faded grey design which was parted by the fact that she only zipped it to the pocket.
She tied the tie slowly, explaining all her actions to him as if he was a child. Which was fine, because he was looking back and forth between her and the tie as if he really was just a child.
