As you may have noticed, I have marked my story incomplete again. I started craving Mary and Matthew a few days ago and I just though f*** it. Lets start to write again. I don't care if I don't get anymore reads, this is purely for me now!

Mary's POV

I wake up in the amazingly familiar arms of my amazingly handsome husband. I think he senses that I'm awake because he asks,

"Tom and I are going to see Mr Drewe after breakfast. Do you want to come with us. It will mean having to dress before coming down to eat rather than having it in bed."

I contemplate the offer and decide to accept so I ring for Anna.

2 hours later

Once I have finished eating breakfast, Tom drives him, Matthew and me to Drewe's farm.

"I hope you can handle the house's pigs as well as your own, Drewe," I say to he farmer before we leave.

"It will be a challange, M'lady but work is like old age. The worst thing in the world, except the alternative," he replies.

(A.N: I have decided to skip the whole Charles Blake, Tony Gillingham and Evelyn Napier romance as Matthew is still alive. They are, however all friends/acquaintances.)

Matthew's POV

We are all in the library waiting for the children to come through with Nanny.

"Here they come," Robert announces.

"Hello Georgie, come to mummy," Mary calls.

"Mama," our son lisps.

"Mama," Sybbie copies George and starts walking towards my wife. The room goes silent, tears fill Tom's eyes and Mary looks dazed.  Cora takes over. She picks a picture of Sybil off the mantelpiece and shows it to her granddaughter.

"No darling, Aunt Mary isn't your mummy. This beautiful lady is."

"Mummy," she whispers and points at the picture.

For the rest of the evening goes quickly and quietly.

Before bed

"When Sybbie called me her mother, I felt ever so bad for Tom. I even felt like I had betrayed Sybil," Mary mumbles, her voice muffled by my chest.

"My dear, it was not your fault. Sybbie is a clever girl and you have been the only motherly figure in her her life, apart from Nanny and Cora. When Georgie called you mummy, she just copied him. Any clever child who was in the same circumstance as her would have done the same thing," I reassure her.

"What would I do without you?" she whispers before falling asleep.

I kiss her head before drifting into a deep sleep as well.
