Mary's POV
"The possibly of Mr Crawley waking up is 80 to 20. Not a big chance," explains the doctor.
"But M'lady," whispers Anna, "it's still a chance. Don't you see, if you believe and stay and keep talking to him, he WILL wake up."
It's been a week and a half since Matthew crashed his car, he sloped in and out of consciousness fit the first day but now he's in something called a coma. I start humming my favourite song called 'Aime-moi ou quitte-moi' by a French band called Petit Mix.
I hum the whole song and on the very last line, he hums as well.
He opens his eyes and murmurs
"Can I always wake up to your beautiful voice?"
"OH MY LORD!! MATTHEW, DON'T YOU EVER DO THAT TO ME AGAIN!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, YOU KNOW? THAT? ANNA, PLEASE GO AND GET DR CLARKSON. I DON'T CARE WHAT HE'S DOING, JUST BRING HIM HERE!"
I lean down so my nose is almost touching Matthew's and I kiss him. I kiss him so passionately that soon we need to part got air.
*3 days later*
Matthew's POV
"Welcome home, Matthew!!!" Everyone yells as I walk through the front door of the Abbey. Everyone is there. Robert, Cora, Mother, Tom, Rose, all the servants. Everyone."
*7 hours later*
Mary's POV
"I'm so pleased to have you back, my darling. You and little George. The people I love the most," I explain to Matthew, "you know. When you were gone, all the softness that you see and bring out of me, drained away."
"I'm sure you don't mean that."
"Oh but I do," and I snuggle into his chest and fall asleep.
Would you guys prefer longer chapters less frequently or shorter chapters more frequently?
